This Game didn't save hours of progress. And all that grinding for nothing makes this a annoying experience for me. Despite, my homies dropped the game and I wanted to just finish it alone but well, I don't got time for this bullcrap... The game isn't that good, to get me motivated, to start the quests all over again..
Good hack and slash, quite polished, you can rebind keys (even use accented keys on a bépo keyboard) and there is a good amount of settings. The tutorial is decent but not perfect, I never understood how the rage system worked. I played on normal and it wasn’t so hard like some people say. Yes I died and I had to search for help on the forums a few times, but I could finish the game without too much trouble in the end. Didn’t encounter any bug. Works mostly fine on Linux. With Valve’s Proton you don’t get the few cutscenes the game has. It’s not a big deal, but if you want to see them you can install Proton GE (the subtitles will still be missing though).
good little story based arpg thats not over complicated
In short game balance sucks bad, I dont expect to be a god teir character out of the gate but being whacked on "normal" constantly early game with high respawn costs just sucks and i cant defend that. I could forgive the difficulty if the abilities were more nuanced but its pretty stagnant early on and frankly I am not going to bash my head against a wall until I break through. To add to the ability aspect from a story perspective you are a hunter yet own almost no tools to hunt the supernatural like traps, explosive abilities cost rage which makes van helsing feel like a budget doomguy but thats really it.
The game is quite nice so far but it does have some issues. As soon as you play with a controller the game absolutely glitches out. As soon as you launch the game when using a controller the whole startup sequence goes crazy. Then, when in game and trying to send Katarina to town to go shopping the whole game crashes. It is easy to avoid by just going to town yourself, but it is a bit of a weird oversight from the developer. Other than that it is basically a sort of stripped down Diablo clone. Definitely not bad if you get it for the right price! Just.. keep in mind there are some bugs.
I regret refunding ts game
Honestly, really enjoy this game so far. As someone who has played through the entire Diablo series, I found the gothic-noir world of Borgovia super interesting and a great addition to the ARPGs I plan to play in the future. Between my Xbox Series X and this laptop, which is pretty much my only way to game on PC, so I was happy to see it runs so well. I am running an AMD Ryzen 5 8640HS with Radeon 760M Graphics on Windows 11. Atmosphere: The dark, gothic aesthetic and the whole "mad science vs. monsters" thing is right up my alley. Performance: the hardware handles the packs of monsters without any lag. Co-op: Connecting with friends has been a totally seamless experience. Connection: Playing with friends has been a totally smooth experience, and connecting to sessions is super easy. Aesthetic: I really appreciate the dark, gothic atmosphere and the creative world-building it’s very immersive. Playstyle: It’s great for both solo and group play I’ve enjoyed my time alone, but hopping on with the group is great, especially if you’re on a call and you hear your friends screaming “HELP!” Or we actively engage into more of the roleplay aspect Minor Critiques: If I had to be a bit critical, the menus and UI feel a little dated compared to modern ARPGs if you’re strictly used to modern ARPGS. Also, the pathfinding can be a tiny bit wonky in tight spots, but it’s nothing that ruins the fun. Overall experience: Overall, I’m definitely looking forward to playing more. If you want a cool adventure and some weapons to go hunt monsters, you should definitely give this a try especially with friends
