Play as Liang, the main character and protagonist. His family has run a successful business for years, but Liang never saw himself as his father’s successor. Instead, he would rather travel the world as a hero and visit as many new locations as possible. The day of the Great Tianqi Explosion in 1626, was the day Liang lost everything. After becoming a refugee with nothing left to his name, he turned to a life of crime. Liang became a bandit and makes a living by killing others for loot.

To avenge her sister’s death, she intentionally let her self-become abducted to get close to the demon and assassinate him. Some, or all of the above statement is false, part of Sui’s untrustworthy nature.

Liang’s partner Tongue, the silver-tongued devil who is motivated by greed. When they work jobs together, Liang executes their target's lives while Tongue works on securing loot.

A girl from an authoritative family that was abducted by human traffickers. It is said to be a distant relative of governor general Yuan.

The story here is phenomenal—dark, heartbreaking, and yet able to evoke a lingering sense of hope throughout the entire journey, even on the "true" tragic ending route. Every character’s motivations feel realistic and earned, serving a distinct purpose in the overarching narrative. No hollow caricatures. No overused tropes. No tiresome clichés. Sometimes all it takes is a deeply human tale where simple outcomes hit the hardest. The journey is painted in bleak, harrowing shades, making you dread what horrors await the precious souls you come to care for with each passing chapter. Yet, through its masterfully orchestrated mystery, suspense, and the unforgettable chemistry between its leads, putting the game down is nearly impossible until you reach one of the many conclusions for the main characters. The revenge and redemption arcs are executed brilliantly, gradually unraveling the protagonists' pasts while keeping crucial questions unanswered until the final moments — all while remaining authentic to its historical setting. And the music compliments it all, perfecting all the emotional impacts as they land on you at key moments, never missing their mark. Hauntingly beautiful, with hints of hope and tragedy, until the very end. This game is a treasure in it's own right and easily one of the best visual novels I have ever experienced. Absolutely worth it at full price.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 3: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 8.86/day in the week to Jul 23 → 10.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
