The Hallowed Garden

ETA: Devs are super responsive when encountering an issue. Managed to get all 50 different kinds of pumpkins, but am still lacking some of the achievements. And have not seen or received any more mail or records. Don't know if I missed out on some of the achievements between the glitches and the fixes, but all in all a very cute, and fun indie game. Highly recommend if you just want a lowkey time waster. This game looked adorable when I saw the announcement for it, and I wishlisted it. I bought it the first day it released and am enjoying it so far. It's adorable, fun, cozy, and full of Halloween spirit! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a time waster game or even a long cozy gaming session. Spoilers for the game below, so fair warning and proceed at your own peril. The game is, as i said, cute and fun, a little repetitive yes, but also not boring due to the anticipation of seeing which pumpkin will sprout next. The wait time isn't long, and I found myself going back and forth with naming the pumpkins, and watching the achievements pop, only to find out the seeds I had just planted had already grown up. I love the story, and how it evolves through the mailed letters. The Mayor voice is funny and quirky, and I wish there was a way to go back and read the letters after you take the mail. The instructions on screen help move the story along, but also frustrated me a bit as the keys are partially coded, IE: WASD is there but you only can use A and D. I rather wished there had been a little guide, or tutorial to explain which keys were used. Still, it was easy enough to figure out. The Devs seem to be johnny on the spot and released a patch for some bugs that I hadn't come across. Go Devs! Thanks for keeping up with the product. Much love from this player to ya. That being said, I wish there was a collection guide or a catalog to keep track of how many pumpkins had been grown, and which version had been collected, along with that tutorial or guide. All-in-all, again, highly recommend if you are one of the gotta collect it all type players.
