About
Between forgotten statues and newfound friends, find yourself in a relaxing getaway. Discover a secret garden and your role within it.
The Garden Path is a slice-of-life gardening sim that celebrates small moments. No matter how you decide to play, the garden is a tender world of familiar sights and sounds, mysteries, and friendly faces. A space to call your own, to curate, and to reflect.
Designed to be played in short bursts whenever you wish, time in The Garden Path runs in concert with the outside world. Following a mix of real-time and in-game time, the game will show you all four beautiful seasons in 28 real-world days, but each in-game day mirrors a 24-hour clock.
Stop by to wander your garden whenever the mood takes you and find new travelers, events, activities, and distractions waiting for you each day. Take your time, play for a little while, and witness how your Garden will grow and change over time.
You won’t be alone in your new home. A charming cast of vegetable-headed visitors are eager to make your acquaintance, and may even make their home alongside your own. Complete tasks for them, grow your bonds, and even compete in a friendly game of Conkers!
Over time, an endearing troupe of travelers will also come and go. Get to know Tabbal the grumpy Berber toad who only appears on a rainy day, Larto the musk ox with a penchant for song-fish, and many more. Traveling merchants will look to make trades with you for various useful items like seeds, decorative items, and tools.
With a unique hand-drawn aesthetic, The Garden Path’s stunning visual design embraces you from the start. Whether you want to design a cozy escape from reality with lush furniture items or expand your garden to new heights, decorating your Garden is completely up to you.
Let songs and sounds of nature find you, as you build a new haven in your own storybook-style garden. With two original scores, each unique to Night and Day, enjoy the Garden’s music whenever you play.
Every good Garden begs to be enjoyed with friends and family. Play The Garden Path with a second player in our local co-op mode! Just link up another controller (or share!) and enjoy wandering the Garden together.
Combine efforts by sharing an inventory and collecting harvestables to trade with traveling merchants. Enjoy your time together by using in-game emotes, and maybe even start a dance party in the process!

Leaving a review because I really feel as if this game deserves more credit The Garden Path is a relaxing cozy game. I can't speak to how the game was upon release, but when I started playing recently I feel as if the controls are pretty self explanatory with the guidance that's given. Some things you have to figure out on your own which is in the nature of the game- if you're really that frustrated though just look up a guide. In the few days I've had it I've found myself playing for some hours each day. Even if I didn't the game is intended to be slow paced and is advertised to be played for a bit each day. It's also important to note that this game is coming from a small dev who seems to be very receptive to feed back. That should be an important factor to any game and how good it actually is. I'd certainly recommend this game to those who like cozy games. The graphics are adorable, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the characters you meet are fun. If you don't want to pay full price the game regularly goes on sale as well.
Beautiful game with great music but it's pretty boring. If you like just wandering around aimlessly with nothing to do this might be for you.
I'm disabled and very prone to stress and have missed not being able to get out into nature as much as I used to, and so far this game has felt so much like being able to go for a walk in the woods and relax and explore without my body getting the last word. It's been like a warm hug and a cup of tea and just generally a lovely time and I'm very grateful it exists. Though as it stands I think people are going to have to look up online how to manage certain things, such as connecting the constellations or so on. The directions aren't the clearest on some things. Though absolutely worth sticking with through that in my opinion.
Meander the garden, find out what's growing, pick a few flowers. Find some visitors and have a chat, maybe do some requests to get some new pants or a pot. Barter for some seeds, plant them, come back in a few days to find out what has grown. Brew some tea, take a sip, and admire what you've done. Much like looking after a real world garden, the game rewards doing a few things and coming back later. Patiently building up, evolving and changing the garden to something new. It's best to play this sleepy, cosy game in parallel with other things you love. It's a beautiful game. The solo dev is still active and putting mechanical polish on aspects, but nothing which would block you getting started building a lush landscape of your own.
Cozy, calming vibes! Sometimes I can find so-called "cozy" games like Stardew Valley stressful, but this game is genuinely relaxing and low pressure. Having your garden "graded" is completely optional, and most of the time I just wander around exploring and running errands for my neighbors rather than attempting to min-max or make my garden as productive or aesthetic as possible. The music and art are beautiful, and I love discovering new plants, harvestables, and visitors as the weather, time of day, and seasons change. The fishing minigame is unique and fun, too. Some things are quite opaque but in a way that feels mysterious, almost mystical, rather than frustrating. The Steam achievements seem to be broken, as I've definitely earned achievements within the game that don't register on Steam. There are also a few achievements that I probably should have unlocked in the game (such as for changing clothes and attracting new garden residents) that I haven't, for some reason, so probably a bug. I don't really mind though, as the achievements are one of the least important things about this game (though I do love the constellations system for unlocking related achievements!)
First of all let me say that I love the aesthetics and the vibe of the game. I really love the idea of it as well. I can say much more positive about the game as there is either something very wrong with me or the game itself... I am playing on PC with mouse and keyboard. The navigation through the menus is quite hard and counter intuitive but you can get used to it. The game however seem to be full of bugs to the point of being impossible to play. First of all, I can't access any of the tools that I have received form the creatures I've met. If I equip them, they are "in my hand" they don't seem to be working, when I switch them to something else they are gone and nowhere to be found anymore (no in my backpack, not anywhere on the ground). Also when I am given a tool when my backpack seem to be full, the tool gets lost. The only thing I can do it run around and collect dead flowers. Not much fun. Also yesterday when I tried the game for the second time, I tried a new game - it's not a new game, the progress of the character was already there - it was not day 1 and I had all the crap I have collected in the previous game in my backpack. The worst thing was that when I was going through the different menus and trying to find something that could help me progress in the game, I got totally stick on the star map. The Z butting was not working and the only thing I could do is to go from star to star pointlessly. I really want to be able to enjoy this game, but I am very disappointed. It looks like it's far from being ready for release. I see all those positive reviews and I wonder, are they all fake, or is there something wrong with me?
Bought this game after having it sit on my wishlist for a while, was hesitant bc I'd heard it was pretty buggy. Happy to report it haven't encountered any bugs! Seems like the dev has been cranking out bug fixes regularly. It does seem like a very slow paced game that will take a very long time to unlock everything, but that's exactly what I wanted. Sort of like Hello Kitty Island Adventure but much more my vibe. The art style is gorgeous, the music is lovely, and the outdoor world feels so nice to just wander around in. I looked for sage for like an hour before I realized I think it's the wrong season for it, but I didn't even mind bc I was fishing, discovering new plants, amd figuring out bonuses to clothes and tools I got from trading along the way. I'm excited to play more! Wish it could get some more love since so much has been fixed and it's such a lovely game.
I am OBSESSED. This game can be played in small bite but it's also easy to spend hours in your garden. Just like real life. You get lost in tending to it and drinking tea you harvested and brewed yourself. I love the hand painted Aesthetics and the entire kitchen witch vibe.
