I have a soft spot for games chasing the Stardew Valley formula: relaxing farming, interconnected systems, and satisfying gameplay. That is why I played this game to completion against my better judgment. Do not follow my example. This is not just a game full of fetch quests. It is a game that actively wastes your time. Quests are structured to send you back and forth between distant NPCs for no meaningful reason, padding playtime with what feels like fake gameplay. There were multiple moments where it genuinely felt like the developers were trolling me. Continuing to play was a mistake. For this type of game to work, it needs at least one of three things: 1. A fun or engaging core mechanic. 2. Deep relationship systems. 3. Interconnected systems that create a sense of progression. This game has none of these. The core loop is shallow: gather materials, craft items, sail to another island, deliver something, repeat. Farming barely evolves beyond growing what the next quest demands. Exploration sounds promising but mostly amounts to moving between quest markers. Husbandry is half-baked. There is no meaningful economy, no reason to craft beyond creating the next quest item, no reason to experiment with growing different crops, no real progression, and no interaction between systems. The characters look charming, but they function almost entirely as errand dispensers. Relationships do not develop in any meaningful way, and I saw no reason to care about anyone beyond what they need from you next. It looks pleasant. The world is colorful and relaxed. That is the one thing it consistently gets right. I was charmed by the occasional animated interludes in particular. But atmosphere alone cannot carry a game built on such thin mechanics. By the end, after completing every quest, your companion still reacts as if you have unfinished tasks, making the same frown and whining as before. It is an unintentionally perfect ending, because the game itself never feels finished, with incomplete systems and meaningless busywork from start to finish.
I walked away from the game after almost 18 hours. The beachcombing pace was OK for a while, I was discovering new islands, new NPCs, new recipes, and learning new details about the world and Koa (the character you play as). But eventually I realized I didn’t care that much. I began to get annoyed by a few things, like the day/night cycle AND a stamina system; being unsure about what to sell to vendors since it seemed like any item might be needed for a quest; the fishing that requires certain types of bait some of which can be bought, some are found randomly in buckets; the underwater parts that require goggles which get used up (and you need to buy new ones); the NPCs that are only available at certain times. I think I could have kept playing if there was a more apparent main story, a goal that Koa focused on, a three-act structure. By the time I gave up, the game was feeling both aimless and shallow. I had only found 1 of the 5 gems that (I'm guessing) I'm supposed to find, so it seemed like I had 4/5ths of the game to go??
A tentative recommend with BIG caveats: - The game is very repetitive, mostly consisting of fetch quests, so you will likely want to have a podcast or a video running on a second monitor to not die of boredom - The UI feels incomplete, like it was shipped mid-development. It's missing tons of button hints, UI prompts and tutorials, which makes it sometimes very confusing to understand what are you supposed to do next. - Don't expect a farming simulator from this game, all the farming and adjacent stuff is purely in service of fetch quests and there's essentially no reason to interact with it otherwise. Yes this all sounds very negative, but I still sorta enjoyed my time with it treating it as a podcast-game that doesn't require a big part of your brain to complete. And the art is very cute.
• As plantações têm muitas variedades. • Muitas missões divertidas. • Muita exploração do mapa.

Nice game. Much bigger than u tought. Could have some improvements, but still a nice game.
One Fetch Quest After Another
