get rid of the AI and this will change to a positive review

Boom Box is a pretty good alternative to Beat Saber with some fun gameplay, but for no reason shortly after I bought it, they completely changed the branding to use AI generated imagery. Do not support this, the game was completely fine without it before. If you want a good VR rhythm game with pure love and passion put into it and not AI generated slop, Spin Rhythm XD is a good alternative for just $5 more, and can also be played in both flat and VR modes!

changed to using ai, wtf man

The mapping is absolutly terrible; Wrist rolls, triangle, resets, vision walls, handclaps, ... Don't play official songs if you want to keep your controllers and/or your sanity. Otherwise the game is fine, looks pretty cool, some good ideas too. Maybe custom songs do play a bit better idk

Overall a good game that could be great with some quality of life improvements. I do enjoy beat saber better, but that game has had a longer time in development and has a dedicated modding community. But Boombox is a lot easier on the shoulders. And even though it looks and feels more simplistic the game feels a lot more challenging than beat saber. Here's some improvements that I would love to see in Boombox: 1. I would like an in game clock so I don't have to take my headset off to see the time. 2. An option after completing a song to just pick a random song without going to the song selection. 3. An option to randomly select the environments instead of having to change the environments manually. 3. The game should automatically default to your last selected difficulty setting instead of automatically defaulting to the hardest difficulty setting. 4. Yo where's the puppers??? *if any of these options are already in the game then the game should do better at making those options clear*

This is a cute Rhythm Game. I'm excited to see what the developers do with it.

It's a fun drumming game that's a bit of a departure from Beat Saber. You're banging drums, not slashing blocks so there's that. It makes for an all-around fun experience, however. I super recommend the game, especially for those who want to get active. I love the different mallets you can earn throughout the game and the environments are super dynamic. I think the devs need to update their Achievements list, though. Some of them can't really be obtained anymore, such as using the drum room, which appears to be gone now. Same for a couple artists I can't really spot on the official maps. Also, you can pet the cat. The cat is cute.

Great soundtrack, great fun!

Let me tell you something Brother! I never imagined a game with a cat on the cover art to be more physically intensive than Beat Saber.. It's good.. but not as good as Beat Saber.
