Turn-based RPG, inspired by classic titles from the golden age of handheld gaming. But make no mistake: This ain't no f@#%ing kid's game.

If you played Pokemon back in the day you should definitely try this.
Great game, with minor bugs. It plays out like a GB Pokemon game without the captures and the puzzles do get harder the longer you play. The little animations details help grab attention to anything that you may not see or things you should spot. All in all great for gameplay and references. Remember to save your game... I beat the boss at the end didn't save since 5 hours into the game. I was level 104 I'm back down to 17.. save your game.... autosaves don't exist... save your game
Keine Kaufempfehlung.
Was a fun game but I didn't complete it. Got stuck and didn't feel the need to go further. Can't say id recommend but im sure somebody out there will enjoy it.
nah
An old-school JRPG in the vein of Dragon Quest (or Dragon Warrior) for the NES and significantly smarter than people will give it credit for due to its prevalent sense of humour. All of the old-school boxes are checked, along with quality-of-life improvements that weren't available at the time -such as a verbose and often amusing bestiary (check the Mimic entry) that actually nudges people over to where an unmet enemy might be found. It also has the best final boss fight in all of gaming, period. This is genuinely one of my favourite games and I thought that I didn't enjoy this style of game anymore. I love the fact that I'm wrong.
What an absolute blast! If you like retro gaming with an updated sense of humour than look no further! Combining the game play and visuals of Pokemon Red and Blue, with a teenager's sense of humour straight out of the original Fallout, Edge of Allegoria is a fun romp through the world of GameBoy JRPGs. The story is humourous, following the adventures of a provincial nobody as they ascend the levels to God-hood in a quest that is more forced on them, than willingly taken up. And, the completing of town quests along the way will conpletely change the world of Allegoria. I love the streamlined combat system that eliminates the need to manage a team of fighting monsters and lets you get straight in to the action. The simplified inventory system is also amazing, allowing you to quickly bulk sell the junk items you collect and to decide which other items you want to sell individually. Overall, I have found the experience to be awesome and am happy to see it completed - I remember watching it get built on Twitter when I was an active member of the Pixel community! Love it!
