Turn-based RPG, inspired by classic titles from the golden age of handheld gaming. But make no mistake: This ain't no f@#%ing kid's game.

Decent JRPG with great nostalgic values for Gameboy / Pokemon fans. However, it didn't hold my interest due to barebone mechanics. Swearing and self-referential humor which I found to be droll that still got few chuckles out of my old chubby ass..
The gameplay is a blast and you can sort of build out your character how you like. I love the art style, even though I don't usually go for the monochrome thing. There are plenty of secrets for old school RPG fans. And a lot of the writing/theme is funny, I just didn't jive with the pot humor, but I know that's a me thing. Personal tastes may vary with the humor, but overall, play the demo and if it seems up your alley, give it a go!
I enjoyed my time more than I expected to. - Vadd
Great fun game. enjoyable experience so far.
10/10 game calls enemy Gorgon not Medusa using race name not given name
Only people with an IQ high enough can truly appreciate this masterpiece. The game is very deep and makes you question many things. Strong recommendation for every scholar out there that is seeking for a challenge.
I’ve been playing for six hours now and I think it’s an incredible game. I’m enjoying it as much as I did back in the 90s with my Game Boy. I love the gameplay, especially how altered states affect the player, combat and the map. I also love how the map, weapons, pixel art, animations and combat are all put together. On the subject of combat, if I have to say one thing, I think it’s, from my point of view, unbalanced. Obviously, your level in battle matters, but I’ve found myself in situations where I’m 10 levels higher than the enemies, and I’m still dealing the same damage, and they’re still dealing the same damage to me... I think that if I’m several levels higher, their health points should just drop to zero. This did spoil the experience for me a bit at the time, but nothing serious. Another thing worth mentioning is the humour. I’ve seen comments saying it’s a bit ‘negative’. In my case, I grew up watching all sorts of films and series in the 90s and 00s, so I’m used to it and don’t find it that ‘heavy’. In fact, over the last few hours I’ve come to think it’s very original and daring, as I believe it’s aimed at the audience of that era. Would opting for a more traditional narrative perhaps attract a wider audience from the younger generations? But it would lose its essence. PS: I didn’t see what would happen in the first castle coming, not even remotely, ha ha ha.
