About

Detective Jack Foster rejoins the police department after a traumatic incident to take over the investigation of what appears to be mere political blackmail. Soon, however, he's faced with the discovery of a gruesome ritual murder that took place in a sealed room, from which no one could have gotten in or out without being seen. Along with his new partner, Harvey Whitman, an expert on cults, Foster dives deep into the shadows of the city of Arkham.
The case will get even darker when they find out it is related to three witches that escaped the Salem trials in 1693, and a conspiracy that could put an end to the world as we know it.

The music in this game is nothing short of incredible. Every track feels like it was pulled straight out of the Prohibition era, making it feel as if you've been transported back in time. From the smooth jazz to the atmospheric melodies, the soundtrack perfectly captures the spirit of the noire genre and immerses you in the world from the moment you start playing. The story is just as captivating. It constantly creates a sense of urgency, making every mission feel like it truly matters. There were so many moments where it felt like if I didn't act quickly, the entire city would fall into chaos. That nonstop tension kept me invested from beginning to end and made every decision feel meaningful. Between the authentic soundtrack and the gripping, high-stakes narrative, this game delivers an unforgettable experience that keeps you fully immersed in its world.
Solid adventure game, feels very...Call of Cthulhu, the tabletop game. Can easily see this as a written scenario with two well-fleshed-out protagonists. For what it's worth it also leans FAR heavier into the pulp and weird science angle of the original works compared to more modern horror interpretations.
Cozy Lovecraftian point and click adventure set in Arkham.
Enjoyed this a lot, I gave it a try after playing Nightmare Frames which I really liked as well. I didn't know a lot about Lovecraftian lore before playing but this game was so good it has me doing a deep-dive into it now. The story and characters are all well-written and I love how alive the world feels. I'd love another game in this setting from Postmodern Adventures.
Very well done, im not a fan of point & click games but i love the lovecraftian theme. Simple game, clever, funny at times, thrilling, i had a good time playing it.
It's beautiful, well writen and funny and makes me curious about the previous and next works of the autor. I'm convinced it deservers all the praising it's getting that said, I have a few comments. It is, indeed, too easy. It may be a byproduct of the well donne effort of avoiding all the moonlogic that is a very common trait of the genre, I don't know, but I feel it lacks a real challenge. You know, I had King's Quest V for the breakfast in the 90's, so I miss the thrill The second comment is about the few negative reviews. They are, indeed, unfair. But they have a point: it's true that some of the lines feel a bit off-character. At those times, it felt as if the autor was talking instead of both the detectives and it breaks immersion just a bit. It's not an issue and it's weird anyone would feel like OH MY GOD A COP BEING ANTIRACIST but can accept witches, portals and outergods as a nature. 4th wall breaking is part of the genre. it is present here, but never abused of The only choice I really disagree with is the deus ex machina that gives you a key. I'm not sure it's a refference I didn't get, but landed as a pure plot device. It's not a big deal either, but I'd like to know if it was just a missed easter-egg It's a great story that lacks a bit - just a bit - of nuance in how the speach is delivered. the lack of challenge is not a big deal, as it seems a deliberate choice (wouldn't be mine, but its a fair choice). It is still satisfying and made me happy to know point and click alive and in good hands
Another great PnC Adventure game by José María Meléndez!
