The Crimson Maid

After some internal struggle, I decided to give it a try anyway, despite the steep price tag (-_-) The story isn't bad, but it lacks something truly intriguing Sometimes I could guess what was coming next Overall, if you take out the romance subplo it's actually pretty good By the way, you probably already figured out who the traitor is, haven't you?!

What we have here is a classic example of the detective genre. Although it does include elements of a visual novel and puzzles, the drama and even a romance subplot are particularly prominent. I’m not sure, but it seems like the developer is trying to tug at the players’ heartstrings (perhaps without even meaning to), and there’s a certain <25th frame> effect here. Visual style is beautiful—there’s no denying that. *The Crimson Maid* isn’t just about exploration; it’s not merely a detective investigation -it explores the entire spectrum of the human life cycle. Sometimes you feel sympathy for the characters, sometimes disgust, and sometimes even fear. Everyone will probably find something here for themselves, but I found variety and replayability. Mixed feelings, mixed review. Thats exactly why I think the developers succeeded in their mission. Cheers!

一座花团锦簇、美轮美奂的维多利亚式大庄园；在这里，有曲水流觞，有琼筵坐花； 而你作为神学院的年轻神父马吕斯，亦是年少有为、前景无限。 然而这美好的一切，被毁灭了；毁灭它的人，是伊琳娜——这座宅子新收的女仆。 《绯色侍女》，一款第一人称视角的、结合了探索与视觉小说叙事的悬疑故事——或者也可以称之为步行模拟器。 得知父亲双目失明、生命即将走到尽头的消息后，多年前负气出走家庭、此时正在神学院深造的见习神父马吕斯不得不中断学业，回到家族庄园陪伴父亲度过最后的时光；来到家中，发现庄园光鲜亮丽的背后，是几近支离破碎的家族关系、诡异压抑的庄园氛围、还有一位可疑的年轻侍女伊琳娜。作为神职人员、正人君子，主角自然也是当仁不让地偶然邂逅了正在河边洗澡的伊琳娜…… 游戏中玩家可以自由探索宏伟壮丽的贵族庄园及其风景优美的领地；并通过对话，深入了解故事里性格复杂、各怀心事的角色。可以不急着推主线，和各种各样的物品互动，以此逐渐加深对游戏里家庭背景的了解。作为悬疑故事，解谜自然也少不了，不过本作的谜题没啥难度（相反，感觉是拿来凑数的），基本上都是简单的交换拼图，能够收集隐藏物品、阅读补充世界观与剧情的文献资料； 而游戏中有着日记本系统，主角会把玩家所做的一切选择、一切行为作一个总结再记录下来，便于玩家理解故事的发展，同时增强了游戏的代入感。 在调查家族尘封往事的过程中，玩家会一步步揭开隐藏多年的秘密，并且发现这位神秘的侍女似乎不是凡人；而在发现真相后要如何对待这位美貌的侍女？玩家的选择会导致游戏走向不同的结局。 唯一可惜的点在于游戏没有配音，导致玩起来会略显无趣。 对这种西式风格故事感兴趣的话，还是比较推荐的。 [quote]欢迎关注『 [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/45525570/] 桃你欢心 [/url]』 [b] 桃影扶风评百戏，落墨如歌写人间[/b][/quote]

This was by far one of my favorite story games ever, 10/10, i loved every second! even though i might have made some wronge choices..

Thankyou for this great story, It was the fact that this game was developed by my fellow Romanians that drove me to play it. In the end I have no regrets, loved the story and the work put into it.
