Zemblanity is an atmospheric first-person horror game. What seemed like a little creepy invitation over from an old childhood friend turns into disturbing uncovering of mysterious forces ruling in the mansion. Will you find a way out?
Zemblanity is a fun time!

There's nothing overtly special about Zemblanity. It has a pretentious name, you can't sprint and the game-play consists of a lot of aimless wandering. But for a first outing, there's quite a bit here to enjoy.
Zemblanity took me just over an hour and a half to beat, (my game time says almost 2 hours but I had it open in the background while I ate). For $6.00NZD ($3.50USD), you'll land yourself in a twisted environment, solving puzzles, finding keys and running into Greg, (he's chill.) Is it worth the price? I'd say so, though there is room for improvement. At its core, this is a walking simulator. There's nothing out to get you, you can't die, and the game-play consists of finding keys and trinkets and maybe combining the odd items together. Unfortunately, I didn't find this game scary in the slightest, but the atmosphere at the start and around the halfway point was impressively oppressing and I found myself double checking the occasional corner because I swear I saw something there. This game needs achievements. It would be far more enjoyable if there were things to work on/work towards, or potentially even another ending or secret collectables. Zemblanity is a pretty bland looking game, boasting Unity store assets you've definitely seen before, but when it wants to, it can get quite surreal. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3057512906 The last 10 minutes of this game looks pretty decent and the fever dream aesthetic of everything was welcomed. I do think the plot of this game was contrived, convenient and a little confusing. I understood the main idea of the story by the end but I was left a little confused with some things. The rough English translation definitely didn't help but it was fun trying to piece the story together, despite struggling to tie up loose ends. Zemblanity is ultimately a harmless first attempt at a horror game and there's a decent amount of meat here. I would definitely recommend it to those looking for a casual horror experience for a Halloween stream, or even the more inexperienced horror gamer to get into the medium. 6.5/10, its a fun time! Nice short horror game with a few puzzles. Sound was used perfectly here. Hoping for a longer game. Great job. Just creepy enough without being over the top. Really enjoyed it. Well done!
Honestly.. boring. I have a video but Im very bitter when playing because of all the hundred keys you have to find here and there. Just walking around doing basically nothing. The scares are not scary, the atmosphere was just a tad creepy in the beginning but after that I basically look like the grumpy cat, wishing I was done already. Sorry, but this was not a game for me. Too confusing and not scary.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Zemblanity - I approached this game with little expectation. Once in the game, I was immediately pleasantly surprised by the good graphics, which clearly stand out from other horror games in this price category. Other pluses include the well-placed and not overused jumpscares and the puzzles weren't overly difficult, or too easy for good progress. So in my case it was a good fit to present this game to my community. The only drawback of the game for me was that there is no German translation.
Short and straight forward, well placed jump scares and well balanced intensity. Really good for a first game!
Some of the scares got me bad here, for the price this is well worth getting 👍https://youtu.be/hqgdqh0RQjA
Не понравилось Да цена Низкая. Но все же 2022 год Банальный сюжет Видные скримеры Пугают громкие звуки. Но не в этом хоррор Атмосфера еще норм. Но в целом...
Zemblanity offers a creepy and atmospheric experience, though it lacks in gameplay depth. As a first-person walking simulator, your journey involves solving simple puzzles, finding keys, and uncovering the twisted narrative. There are no enemies or dangers, making it a tension-filled exploration instead of a traditional horror experience. Pros: - Eerie Atmosphere: The game effectively builds a sense of unease with its environments. - Surreal Ending: The last 10 minutes stand out with a fever-dream aesthetic. - Short & Affordable: A quick, 1-2 hour game that’s priced reasonably. Cons: - Basic Gameplay: Mostly wandering around and solving easy puzzles, which might not satisfy hardcore horror fans. - Translation Issues: The story feels a bit disjointed due to awkward translations. - No Real Horror: While atmospheric, the game doesn’t provide real scares or intense moments. For a first attempt, Zemblanity is a decent horror game. It’s perfect for newcomers or anyone looking for a casual horror experience, especially given its low price point. Not groundbreaking, but worth a look for fans of walking simulators. Meh. It's very basic. Really taken aback by the very positive review score. Jumpscares are not really scary. Puzzles are very simple, usually the solution is a few yards away. The hardest part is finding keys, sometimes literally scattered in the corners of rooms, which is not fun. There are far more interesting horror games on steam, play them instead.
Ya kinow I liked this Devs second game.... This one is also intresting but has way too many keyhunting going on, I mean you could at least make the objects blinking so they are easier to spot. Since this game was pretty cheap i will not complain but I cannot recommend.
