I ended up loving this game. Incredibly nostalgic experience for someone who loved the early King's Quest games as a kid. I was surprised by how deep some of the detective work was, how much attention to detail there was for players to pay attention to. LOVED Margot, so the ending was very bittersweet. I found myself touched by the way the story concluded. Difficult at times, but I was able to figure out a lot without looking up the guide (though I did use it and appreciate the layout of it, allowing players to click on the info they want but not get spoiled for anything beyond that). The graphics and animation were so on point. I love this kind of pixel work and some of the animations were so impressive in this style. The end screen of Nancy was beautiful, especially. Thanks for the amazing experience!
I genuinely don't review games but I picked this up on a whim after seeing the art style talked about in a youtube video, and had a really enjoyable experience. It was my first time with this kind of game, and I really just wanted to experience it for myself. I struggled a lot, but I had a fun time with the story.
A good throwback to games like the Laura Bow series. Kind of wish it were a bit longer and maybe had more ways to get yourself killed (like CB). Overall a fun and enjoyable experience.
An absolutely great story!
A classic throwback to old 90s Sierra games
This is the first time I'm so excited about an adventure game since the time of floppy discs and verb interfaces. Incredible pixel art 10 / 10 Text gameplay needs some actual investment of time and thought, but then u have many more opportunities (than just clicking around) and a great time.
I helped a bit with testing, so I might be biased. All I can say that this is a great adventure game, with multiple endings, so there is replay value. The presentation is great, both art and music. There are no moon logic puzzles either. I think that if you like adventure games, even if you never played a parser one, you will most likely enjoy this.
Wonderful design, fun atmosphere, colorful, and great replay potential
