The Colonists is a relaxing settlement building game inspired by classic titles like The Settlers and the Anno series.
Take on a series of individual campaign missions, play randomly generated maps, compete on player-designed creations or build your colony unfettered by any constraints in the sandbox mode.
You take control of a team of self-replicating robots built to simulate human civilisation. After escaping Earth, The Colonists are now free to roam the galaxy in search of a new home and construct their dream settlement.
You'll advance through three different Ages as you build infrastructure for your colony by constructing road, boat and train transport systems.
Harvest natural resources, set up farming and food production, create expeditions to discover new lands and research new technologies.
With two separate mission tracks, The Colonists lets either you create sprawling settlements in peace or race to compete against AI colonies in military winner-takes-all scenarios.

Not a bad game but it doesn't do anything different from other city builders. If you're new to city builders and like the aesthetic, sure this is recommendable (though not for RRP, there are many better options for RRP, but it gets heavily discounted in sales). If you've played other city builders then I'm not sure this has anything else to give.
Fantastic Settler 2-like with it's own flavor! Just like the original, the gameplay loop is highly addicting and there is lots of stuff to optimize.
Absolutely charming, I'd been getting a little bored of city builders/management games of late and only got this from a Humble Bundle and loving it so far.

fun little game
I love this game. It's a relaxed game, it has a fun campaign. I am still playing the campaign and I already played for almost 100 hours. It's a logistics game, but with cute little robots. They build and transport materials. It's about finding balance between the materials you need and what you make. I definitely recommend this game!
