There was a real city-building simulators trend back in the day and plenty of competition on this field. But now we have basically Cities Skylines series only. Games like Anno or Frostpunk are something else, and I wouldn't count them proper them city building simulators. And the original series that started it all, SimCity, are now dead. It's kind of shame but it indicates changes in tastes of mass auditory, I guess. So, this particular game was not bad for its time. Hard to say if it's worth of time today because, again, there is Cities Skylines 2. But if you are a fan of a genre, then why not - you can check this game, as well as many others. Truth is, we need more competition among city building sims.

I checked out Skylines before I played this... big mistake. Just stick to Skylines, even without the murderously expensive DLCs, the vanilla is excellent.

I've had this game for years. I had the CD game long before I gave in and bought it on Steam. As city builders go, I've always liked being able to create multiple cities around the world and then have them essentially trade with each other. But in all the years I've played it, I've never succeeded without cheating. Take that as you want. The game is visually pretty, has a decent series of tutorials, and doesn't tax my mid-to-low-grade computer. If you like city builders, get this one. It's older, it's no longer expensive, it's worth it.

this game is honestly amazing. for me it's everything i could want in a city builder because i prefer just being able to build whatever i want and grow my city as opposed to have to like spend hours grinding to be able to grow. it also runs pretty nice on my pc (which isn't the greatest) but it does lag a bit since i have a TON of buildings. 10/10 game, worth it for 2 bucks ngl

Vypadá to celkem slušně, ale s hratelností to je velká bída a fakt nuda, tohle rozhodně nebrat...

Немного запутано все с нумерацией. Но в целом это третья части в серии градостроительных симуляторов. Если любите SimCity, то есть смысл расширить коллекцию и этой игрой )

Cities XL Platinum™ might be re-release of the outdated version of a bugged-out computer-overheating game from 2010 filled with from the original game is woefully flawed with terrible screen tearing and CPU issues... some people like it... others don't like it... Overall it's still playable after all...
