The Coin Game

I love this game and have put way more hours into it than I ever thought I would. The dev has been working hard to continue adding new things even many, many years later. My only complaint is that he has been trying very hard to update the game into new versions of unity to remove a lot of the jank it has, but it, so far, has kinda backfired. After the most recent update, I have had tons of issues jumping, I lose health all the time just for running and jumping down the street, I enter stores and my character is suddenly sliding on ice, and I have had to restart the game multiple times because it just doesn't realize I have changed locations and I can no longer interact with anything. Aside from that, some of the games could definitely still use tweaks, like the cranes drop too far, superball machines take forever to register when a ball lands in the hole, coins in all the coin pusher machines tend to bunch up too much, occasionally coins and prizes fall out of machines upon loading, and a few others. I only list these issues because I hope the dev works to get them fixed, not to scare anyone away from getting the game. It's wonderful, and I wish the best for the one dude that has put so much work into it.

I love the job system too—it adds a fun layer of progression—but I definitely wish there were more jobs to try out. With all the “coming soon” signs in the shops, you can tell the developer has big plans, and honestly, that’s exciting. The foundation is already fantastic, and it feels like there’s a lot more content on the horizon. If you enjoy arcades, quirky sims, or games with tons of charm, The Coin Game is absolutely worth diving into. I can’t wait to see what gets added next.

great game, so many fun places to explore, ran great donno what the other reviews are on about. On a budget build it ran perfectly fine. what surprised me about this game is how different each arcade is, I was under the impression the arcade you spawn at was the only one they offer but after riding around in my lambo and or being driven around by my butler, I realized the world is vast. The community is lively ps. having robots follow you around constantly screaming fills the void in my soul and reminds me im not alone in this world ps2 I really enjoyed the go carting and lazar tagging in this game. ps3 I hope in the future the developer add more games and not lock them behind a dlc like other games similar to this ps4 me did like this game and me thinks this game deserves more and me thinks the voice lines were really funny at times me thinks that was good details lastly ps5 me thinks the movie was a little underwealming with the ending and me thinks the little details are awesome still tho
