About
The Coin Game is a fun-filled arcade adventure on an island packed with ticket games, quirky robots, and endless activities. Explore realistic arcades with machines inspired by modern favorites and swap your tickets for prizes at redemption areas. Head to Larry's Arcade to jam with animatronics Teddy and the Ticket Eaters, or try UFO Arcade's space-themed games, Laser Tag, and Indoor Go-Karting. Don’t miss the ‘90s-style indoor mall with its own arcade, food court, shops, and even a cinema to watch your own movies. Just watch out for the minions – they’re big fans of Teddy and can challenge you in Laser Tag! Looking for more adventure? Make a splash at Lenny's WaterPark or show your skills at mini-golf and RC boat racing at pirate-themed One Eyed Billie’s. And don’t forget the Traveling Carnival with 20+ classic games, rides, and new prizes.
For a challenge, Survivor Mode lets you start with limited funds. Keep an eye on your health and energy (right on your wristwatch) by grabbing food around the island. Jerry’s got the healthy stuff if you can afford it, but junk food’s always cheap!
Run out of money? Scavenge dumpsters, hop on your bike and deliver newspapers around the island, or hit up the Pawn Shop to sell extra prizes. Otherwise you might have to beg Uncle Phil for some extra allowance!
If you just want to relax, activate Birthday Mode and live the good life with unlimited cash courtesy of Uncle Phil. Play however you like and enjoy your time at the arcades! Fill your belly with soda pop and cheesy poofs leaving sticky fingerprints on over 50 different games and machines.
There are plenty of ways to travel around the island. Take the bus, your very own golf cart, bike or Mom's van. Or maybe walk to burn all that fast food you just had at the mall. Be careful though, there is lots of highway traffic and tourist activity on the island so make sure to keep off the roads.
You can play The Coin Game with any mouse, keyboard or any Dual stick/pad controller. The game includes an easy to use key mapping system to support virtually any controller or peripheral. So you can play The Coin Game any way that you like.

As someone who does like this game, the released version is very broken and buggy so i cannot recommend buying it at this time. The games themselves still work but everything else including the ticket counting machine (mandatory for getting prizes) is often broken. The graphics look good on the store page but it doesnt look nearly as good ingame right now.
Game is unplayable now. Should not be out of Early Access. The Dev messed up the game big time by changing some code and now the whole game is basically broken. Also, you now have to consent to a third party agreement to play the game, saying they can take the game back at any time, harvest data, etc. That should not be there to begin with but early access supporters like me and thousands of others should be able to opt out at least. But nope. I think the dev is probably a decent guy and loves his game, but he should have been his own publisher too if Kwalee is forcing him to do stuff he does not want to do. Either way, stay away from this game that has doubled in price, very bugy, and makes you consent to stuff you dont want to.

TLDR: Unless you really wanna play old arcade games from your childhood and win, then I would skip this. The game should still be early access. Physics are rough, the world and art needs to be polished, and lots of bug fixes need to be implemented. Additionally multiplayer was planned before the full release but was delayed. The game wants to be so much more and with some attention it could be. If you don't mind some jank it can be fun, but if you are hunting achievements it's a slog. I have seen this game a few times popping up in my YouTube feed, a cute and fun survival arcade simulator, stocked with some games from my childhood and some original games. Collect tickets to get prizes, buy candy and energy drinks to survive, and try to make it home by curfew. Do odd jobs if you get low on funds, sell your prizes for cash, or try your luck with slots, and bingo. Many classic arcade games have been implemented, from Skee-ball to Wheel of Fortune. Claw machines, stack 'em, pinball cabinets, and of course coin games. There is also a small section of carnival games and rides to experience. Each game also has it's own global and friend leaderboards so you can do some competing with your friends. Some games give tickets, some give tokens, and some give cash. As you progress and earn more money, more arcades become available to play and items of interest to buy. The core loop is enjoyable. The game itself is casual enough that you don't really have to stress about the survival aspect of the game. The odd jobs available give a substantial cash injection that gives you plenty of money to play games, and purchase food and drink to keep your stats up. I easily lost track of my hunger while playing games and have almost failed a few times because of it. The world has some charm. I kind of find the town and it's citizens cute, the egg shaped robots going about their lives and doing the things they were programmed to do. The "simple" story explains why everyone is a robot, and gives the player an ending once they figure out the islands secrets. Overall, the game was an enjoyable experience to play and I kept coming back casually to play an in game day or two at the arcade just for fun. I slowly made progress through survival, banking most of the money I earned while buying items to make my time easier (like getting a golf cart). Once I felt I was near the end of the game, I took my time to explore and see what the islands secrets were. Which took around 15-20 hours of casual playing. I had my fun with the game, but it's hard to recommend to someone with it's current price point. The game is made by a solo developer, a lot of passion went into it and I like the groundwork they set up. The game over it's development cycle was then sold to Kwalee for publishing in 2024. The devs state they still have full creative control for the game which is awesome. Some people have taken issues with the EULA, however I have not deep dived into that myself to express opinion on it. With that being said, when the coin game first came out it was 8 USD. Upon being acquired the game jumped 150% to 20 USD. I bought the game at 14.99 when it was released to 1.0. So the price was increased before the release, with mentions of having community spaces created to share regular content updates, and marketing mentioned here. And to be honest, I'm not entirely sure where any of that is. Last update was 5/18/26 (Current review on 7/16/26), which didn't really provide a whole lot beyond "I'm still here working" which fair enough, it's not easy solo developing the game. However the decision to have swap to a publisher and not have anything that was talked about provided makes me question. The game is too unpolished to be in 1.0. Character constantly gets trapped by the bots and funky terrain geometry, items falling through the world, physics constantly breaking, player vehicles getting stuck and flipped, and a bunch of small details like the clock reading wrong, and the player sliding away from a game while playing. The UI and menus still need work, I can't balance the music between locations, and the slightest fall hurts you. Most of the achievements are fine, most being achievable with normal gameplay. However there are a few that are very tedious. 500 carnival games 500 carnival rides 100 days survived If you really like playing at the carnival, the games achievement might not be as big of a deal for you. However the games are generally more expensive and the prizes aren't as valuable to get your money back The rides give nothing back, it's just a money dump and a short cutscene you can skip. You will be finding the most efficient ride to hop on, skip cut scene, hop off, and re-enter. I used the Moon Mission Ride. Now for the roughest one. 100 days survived. I mentioned that it took me about 15-20 hours to "finish" the game. Story done, island secrets found, all that. The rest of my time was spent AFK in the house waiting for days to end. This achievement is really not something that will be accomplished in normal gameplay, it's just a tedious task in my opinion. The worse part is I couldn't keep the game up on a second monitor, I had to use OBS to pull up a preview screen of the game and have that on my second monitor to be able to watch my hunger to make sure I didn't starve. If the developer intends on adding so much content that someone will want to spend 100 days in a single survival save then fair enough, otherwise this is just a time dump. I honestly wouldn't blame someone for using S.A.M. or equivalent for getting this achievement. The secrets were fun to find and to explore the island, however the hints could have been a bit better in resolution. The difficulty of the survival mode is easy. Very little maintenance needed for the character and feels like a mode that was added in as an after thought. Nothing wrong with an easy survival mode, but advertising it as a challenge isn't quite what it is. The side jobs are, funny enough, the best way to make money in the game and after about 2 hours making money will be the least of the worries. Pick the game up on sale if this is something that aligns with your gaming interest. The arcade games are fun to play and relax to, just be wary of the issues that come with it. Great game to have your kids involved and playing too. I hope to change this review to a recommend as time goes on as Kevin the developer says (as of two months ago) they are active and still working on it. Plans to add multiplayer is still in the works, would love to see this game grow some more.
Woke and retarded publisher and their EULA is new and anti customer
Fun cute game. If you need to change your mind and just empty your head, it's the way to go. :3
Pausing while on the ticket shredder or prize collection dooms you to a simple eternity turned into a statue. I remember this being better.
I really loved the gameplay, but ran into an issue where I could not interact with objects in the world anymore once I started using the programmable bots feature. Hopefully the developer fix these game breaking bugs sooner rather than later.
Needs refinement and bug fixes but I see the potential.
Watched people play this and it looked fun, recently added apparently is a huge huge very unfun (to me I guess) grind before you get to any arcade games in your arcade game, unless you know play the baby version without any challenge at all. No middle ground. Disappointed for now, because I was excited about it and have such little free time, but I’ll probably come back to it later.
