Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 1: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Insanely buggy (+ overall really bad perfomance, I got stuck having to watch one of the final cutscenes in slow motion, locked out of any input to interact with the characters for no reason. This is apparently a recurring issue WITH NO FIX unless you got the deluxe edition with the cutting room pre-unlocked), mostly nonsensical but not in an entertaining way and somehow every character is either bland or insufferable. This game is just miss after miss, the only "fun" thing about it is the dbd easter eggs, and even that gets old and redundant surprisingly fast. Do not buy this at full price, it's (dead by) daylight robbery (haha).
bad
This is just nothing.
The Casting of Frank Stone is a genuinely good narrative horror game. The story is dark, well paced, and engaging, with strong characters and meaningful choices that make you want to see different outcomes. The atmosphere and writing do a great job of pulling you into its unsettling world, and the gameplay fits the experience well, focusing on exploration, dialogue, and tension rather than complexity. Unfortunately, the game is seriously held back by technical issues. For a studio as big as Behaviour Interactive, the lack of stability is disappointing. On a dual-monitor setup, the game constantly jumps to the second screen or splits itself across both displays every few minutes. None of the in-game display settings fix this: fullscreen, borderless, and windowed all behave the same. The only workaround I found was physically unplugging my second monitor, which is unacceptable for a game released in 2024. That’s what makes this so frustrating: the game itself is good, but the software side ruins the experience. With proper fixes, this could easily be a great experience playing it from start to end, but in its current state it’s hard to recommend for PC players, especially anyone using more than one monitor.

Good game-movie. It has the same problems as other games in this genre. It's not a breakthrough, but it has its merits.
