The year is 1962 and the Cold War has the nation gripped by fear. A top-secret government unit called The Bureau begins investigating a series of mysterious attacks by an enemy more powerful than communism.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
The Bureau is a great concept - I always like it when iconic series shift genres - but it's very bland and not much fun. It dares to ask the question, "What if Mass Effect were made out of cardboard?" If you're on the fence about this one, you're probably thinking of how cool a 1950s XCOM shooter sounds. I recommend you keep thinking about what that would be like and skip this game, as your imagined version is much more enjoyable than the actual product.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 8: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Clumsy controls, bullet sponge enemies materializing from nowhere, repetitive boring gameplay, absolutely horrendous AI, platitudinous writing, poor voice acting, has really nothing in common with the classic or modern XCOM games apart from the alien invasion "plot". Crashes constantly. Tactical element is supposed to consist of commanding your team, but the team members are more suicidal than Andy Riley's bunnies, incessantly running amok into the firing line of every enemy. A Cold War era top secret agency fighting UFOs would make for a very interesting premise, but this game fails at every aspect. For a turn-based strategy game in similar premise sans aliens, try Phantom Doctrine.
It is a mass effect clone. You play as a terminally depressed man that has alien powers. You have a team of mooks at your disposal that need to be ordered around or they will get firing squadded. Your hat can fall off and can be lost forever. Sick game.
this game has NOT aged well - a TPS with XCOM related lore is conceptually great, but the extremely thin layer of "tactics" slabbered on top doesnt do much when your squadmates are braindead and bleed out the moment an enemy looks in their direction. All the "bosses" are just mindless, annoying bullet sponges and completely suck the fun out of playing
🎮 Reseña de The Bureau: XCOM Declassified

Contenido6Campaña enfocada; suficiente, no abundante.

Música6Acompaña bien, pocas piezas memorables.

Unfortunate side game to the X-Com universe. Typical walker-shooter without much need for any tactical skills. Go there, click your mouse many times and just dumbed down game. Sorry but cant recommend.
Oh boy what a mess of a game it is. 1) Bad controls 2) Horrible companions Ai 3) Horrible difficulty spikes multiplied by horrible ocmpanions Ai 4) Bad dialogue system and bad writing 5) Boring gunplay 6) Questionable world building and design choices which break immersion sometimes 7) No sense of progression
The Bureau: XCOM Declassified is an interesting hybrid between a traditional third-person shooter and a strategic game, with elements of role-playing game; but the impression is a game crippled by a troubled production. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3297704836
