Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 8 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Replayed it for nostalgia reasons and I still love it.

Coming from the classics of the genre, I’ve been incredibly surprised. The Book of Unwritten Tales has absolutely nothing to envy the 'sacred cows' of graphic adventures. It features charismatic characters, an impeccable art style, and a story full of twists that keep you hooked. If you enjoy Terry Pratchett-style fantasy humor or if you are a World of Warcraft fan, this is a must-buy. A solid 10/10 for Wilbur and company."
★★★★☆ Clicking With the Genre
The Book of Unwritten Tales won me over with its hilarious dialogue, countless fantasy references, and puzzles ranging from "that makes perfect sense" to "how was I ever supposed to think of that?" I guess looking up a solution is part of the genre's charm anyway. It gave me strong Mel Brooks vibes and genuinely made me laugh out loud more than once. Sadly, my Steam Deck refused to cooperate with one particularly dancing input puzzle, so my adventure is currently on hold, but I'd still warmly recommend it to anyone looking for a charming old-school adventure.
It's a pretty nice point & click adventure game, fun characters, pretty reasonable puzzles, a lot of humor. Even a little bit too much humor, it feels, because occasionally the style of humor it uses (reference overdose, meta-humor and lampshade hanging) can get a bit grating occasionally. And also the pacing feels a bit off, final chapters seems to have a bit of "running out of budget" problem, each chapter feels way too long, and by 13-14 hours it takes to complete the game you might start to get a bit exhausted Nevertheless, it's a nice game to spend a few evenings on
