About

14th-century Europe. Bloody conflicts sweep the lands, and the Black Death comes for the survivors. It's a moment of weakness - and that's all they needed. Vampires seize their opportunity to walk out of the shadows and claim what they've been denied for centuries: freedom, and the power that comes with it. Other creatures of the night follow their lead. Legends turn into reality, and history as we know it will never be the same.
You play as Coen, a young man turned into a Dawnwalker, forever treading the line between the world of day and the realm of night. Fight for your humanity or embrace the cursed powers to save your family. Whatever your choice, the question stands: is your soul worth the lives of those you love?

Experience and shape the plot the way you want. Embark on the quest to save your family, or swear revenge on your sire and destroy everyone standing in your way. Discover ancient secrets lurking in the valley. Rush in head first or risk taking time to prepare. Go alone or search for friends and forge unlikely alliances.

Experience two different gameplay loops, offering distinct abilities to choose from, mysteries to uncover, and varying ways to achieve your goals. Experiment with different approaches and discover how the world reacts to your actions.

Every action - and inaction - shapes the world around you. Your family’s days are numbered, and every time you take on a quest, time moves forward, compelling you closer to the end. Choose carefully whom to help and whom to leave behind. You will not have time for everyone. The world waits for no one. And neither does the villain.

Defy gravity, become a brutal force of nature, and use your supernatural skills as a vampire. Or raise your sword, and employ powerful magic to take on opponents as a human. Experiment and adapt as your form changes during the day and night; each has its strengths and weaknesses.

Venture through the hand-crafted open world and discover all it has to offer. Roam through the lush forests, the vast plains, the treacherous swamps, the steep mountaintops, and the medieval settlements. Explore forgotten ruins, find remnants of an ancient civilization, and uncover truths that should probably remain hidden.

Experience the beginning of a brand-new saga built with love for the role-playing genre. Immerse yourself in a visually stunning world powered by the next-gen Unreal Engine 5.

Reviews
It's really good, simple as that. It has hiccups and rough edges, but it's not a AAA release. It's a AA release from a new studio from a new IP, there are destined to be problems. So I'll start with my complaints: - Controls feel wonky, and sometimes controller inputs simply don't work and move to icons you didn't select at all. This will probably be fixed - Perfect blocks just don't work at times. I will absolutely block in the right direction at the right time and it just doesn't work. - Having to disengage your block to dodge is clunky and leads to me getting hit by unblockable attacks often. Just let me dodge while blocking. - Human movement is clunky and climbing things like small ledges takes WAY too long and makes traversal annoying at times. - Switching gear sets between day and night is cool, but it doesn't update the other if you put on new best-in-slot gear on one, leaving you potentially weaker if you get thrown into the next day/night cycle. - Voice acting is inconsistently weird at times, but it's not often. Positives: - The writing and worldbuilding is really cool. It takes historical notes from the time period and blends a lot of dark fantasy into it. It's all very unique. - The combat system is cool, sometimes repetitive, but it's neat to see all the different move sets of enemies and how combat sorta becomes a dance or a rhythm game. - The vampire powers all feel really good and ramp up in power fast. Traversal is my favorite part of it, the shadowstep and wolf form options make it a blast. The time mechanic is overall a good thing, it adds stakes to the game. People can complain all they want, but it breaks immersion and logic a bit in something like Skyrim where the end of the world is coming because of the dragons, but you can do literally nothing for 40 in game years and there are no consequences. The mechanic could be explained better, and has some weird things that pass time, but there is plenty of time to use. I'll probably have more but I'm not too far yet. This game definitely needs some patches but overall it's enjoyable, unique, creative, and just really fun. It gets compared to Witcher a lot, but this is not CDPR, and that level should not be expected from a new team like this. I think the next games in this series will continuously build on the last and will eventually rival Witcher 3/4 or Cyberpunk quality for sure.

For me personally... Perfect!
It's like playing Detlaf from the Witcher 3
i really love the vibs and the combat feels so good and fun, also the world is beautiful
I love everything about this game. Performance is okay some times it stutters or has freezing issues. The biggest Problem i have is the Combat. It feels clunky. You hve to get used to it its not difficult its like you are stuck swinging without much of flexibility in movement. Dialog system the sense system is like to like from the witcher 3. Ut is really fun and the time mechanic is very intreguing. 8/10
Yes it need some work but the game is worth playing and worth the price tag imo its fun all the way around the time constraints make you think before you act and you will miss out on stuff because of that. The combat is satisfying once you get the hang of it and you are basically medieval blade
Feels more like a witcher 3 mod. I cant really get it that the devs werent able to come up with something new. The combat is horrible. You cant use KDC combat in a third person game. The timer is poorly implemented crossing the entire map from one side to the other takes no time, but spending a skill point costs 1 hour killing enemies in a camp costs time, but there are areas where you can grind enemies for zero time cost Install the mod blocking this idiotic thing, beause is entirely justified, the devs created the timer to force you to replay the game, nothing else.
Intriguing story and my god, the jank! It's like I'm back in the good ol' Witcher 3 launch day days! Combat and some performance issues aside, the story and world is worth it. Only a few hours in but wanted to give the game a boost!
Its a very enjoyable game. Combat is fun. Ability tree is fantastic. I love the story. Performance could use some work but i have a nice pc thankfully. I like it more than witcher 3 but im also a bit of a hater.
