The Blackwell Legacy

Fantastic story with some interesting puzzles. Pity you can't make the character walk quicker, but otherwise compelling story and characters.

Tenía la saga entera en mi biblioteca desde hace años, esperando una traducción oficial, que nunca ha llegado y nunca llegará. Los fans hicieron una bastante amena y que facilita la introducción a la serie. Aunque no termina de ser un inglés muy enrevesado, dejándose entender bastante bien; me parece terrible que tengan que ser los fans de la saga quienes hagan el trabajo sucio y de una compañía que, justamente, no deja de sacar juegos cada poco tiempo. De hecho, en 2026, acaba de sacar una y al igual que el resto está en inglés. En resumen, si te da igual leer y jugar en inglés, adelante. Si por el contrario te cuesta y quieres ahorrarte el dinero que se ahorró Wadjet Eye Games en localizar a tu idioma este título, dedícaselo a otra compañía que SÍ se preocupe. This holds up pretty well. Music is good, atmosphere is great. The voice acting is hit and miss, but overall not bad. The story and setting is pretty fun, the game is rather short though. It certainly feels more like a setup for the rest of the series.

破關後爬留言，發現可以開啟遊戲設定 > 作者評論 ( 經典和更新都 On )，會跳出作者的大頭和你分享開發遊戲的心路歷程，開啟遊戲後作者會時不時跳出來說明，感受到作者的滿滿熱情，包含最後謝幕也會配上配音人員的照片，再次感受到遊戲組投入相當多愛與心血。 這個模式直接讓遊戲進入我的五星收藏中 ! 作者時不時出現呢喃太有趣了( 不過沒有字幕，但正好可以練習英聽 )，另外如果擔心遊戲體驗被打斷，可以像我一樣破關後再開啟。 ---- Option 還有一個小彩蛋，輸入密碼 ( 提示 : 進入遊戲時的圖標 ) 可以聽到配音的 NG 片段。 太太太用心了吧。 ---- 小品解謎遊戲，全程有用心的英語配音，詞彙量中級可以邊玩邊學英文。 理解這是比較早出的遊戲，背景音樂和人聲無法單獨調整小可惜。 很多解謎的地方真的要發揮創意、跳脫框架，互動性滿高的。( 有些解謎邏輯點的連結之間小小牽強，但不影響破關體驗 ) 這是系列的第一作、期待把前傳、續作都玩完。

A classic point and click from Wadjet Eye Games who have now gone onto produce a large collection of old school adventures. Blackwell Legacy is the first game of the 5-part Blackwell series so be sure to play this one before the others. Set in New York you play as Rosangela Blackwell. A socially anxious newspaper writer who reluctantly finds out she is a spirit medium. With a few recent deaths around the university campus, she and her overly charming spirit guide Joey attempt to both solve the mysterious deaths and help the deceased move on. This game is a simple point and click adventure offering two commands – Look and Interact. The puzzles are never really challenging, and the game is short and sweet at around 3 hours. The voice acting really stands out, especially for the 2 main characters. Worth a 2nd playthrough with the developer commentary mode active. Developer Dave Gilbert offers great insight into the voice actors, artists and inspired locations from his hometown of New York. This is old school pixel graphics running natively at 320x240 resolution. Thankfully there are many scaling/resolution options to increase the window size.

It was a nice 2hour experience without any frustration, story and voices kept me playing until the end of the story. Will play the follow up games for sure!
