The Blackwell Legacy

Wadjet Eye Games never disappoints with their games. I absolutely LOVE Primordia and Shardlight, and I have all the Blackwell games on steam. They are pretty and their stories are always so intriguing and twisted.

One of the best Point and Clicks ever. Every game in the series is worth playing

Never played it before, but feels like good old classic, may be not great but pretty good.

I enjoyed it. It was a good throwback to the old King's Quest style of games. However, I felt that it was EXTREMELY short. I got the entire bundle on deep discount and I'm happy to have played it for cheap. If I had paid full price in 2006 I probably would have felt a little ripped off.

A very memorable classic point & click game with a good story an interesting gameplay. I'm excited to play the sequels. Ran well, and I was engaged throughout.

The Blackwell Legacy is a wonderful start to a classic indie series. You play as Rosa Blackwell, an awkward freelance writer who discovers she’s a spirit medium, and Joey Mallone, her sarcastic 1930s ghost companion. What really hooked me was the writing and the unique approach to investigation. Instead of rubbing random inventory items together, the gameplay actually makes you feel like a detective: you take notes, combine clues in a notebook, and search for info on an old in-game desktop computer. The graphics are old-school pixel art and the puzzles are on the easier side, but the atmosphere and the chemistry between Rosa and Joey kept me fully invested. It's a short, bite-sized mystery that clearly sets up a much bigger story.

The game was surprisingly relaxing to play, despite the dark tones. Definitely worth a playthrough. Getting 100% completion was ... a challenge.
