Way too many people in these reviews are getting lost in the sauce. You gain nothing from digging into the lives of the people who make a game. I play this game. I don't really care about the developers or social media content of anyone on the team. Most of the stuff that people are whining about in these reviews are things you will never see or hear in game if you just play the game. This is a review space for the game itself. Is the game good? Yes. I never leave reviews but this review section has devolved into something pretty wild and I just felt the need to put my finger on the scale in the other direction. The game is fun--things are added frequently and the game is adjusted a lot. Some people seem to not like that but I personally feel like it keeps things interesting. If the builds didn't change, you'd have very little reason to learn other items or characters. I'd say watch a video or two of the actual game. If async gameplay appeals to you, this is one of the best of the bunch. If anyone goes looking for reasons to be mad, you WILL find them. This is true for literally any and all things.

This is the best autobattler out right now. Heroes not included in the base game can be pricy, but they do go on sale fairly often. Each hero has unique scaling for damage and defenses and a wide arrange of possible builds. Ranked progression is fun and rewarding - you earn loot boxes for placing well in matches as well as ranking up. Game also runs well on steam link so you can play mobile, which I do a lot.
Really good game, one of my favorites of recent and works great as a mobile game or something to casually play as its not directly multiplayer in terms of playing alongside others and you can take all the time you like or walk away to return later. But ive honestly gotten further and further disenchanted with the balancing of the game for a while now. Specific characters and playstyles seem to get buffed or nerfed in a way that doesnt seem to make sense or be representative of their power level, but rather just what the most outspoken people on the public discord feel. Its begun to feel a game thats balanced less by professionals and more just biased fans. The most exciting part of this game to me for as long as I've played it, is all the fun and powerful synergies and combinations a build could take on by luck from cool items, enchants on the items, or skills. Those possibilities just kind of feel like they happen less and less as interactions that may have been a build around opportunity before, get removed or nerfed to a different tier altogether. I dont really care about the pricing of the game, or any microtransaction conversations to be had about the game. Those aspects never drew me in or repelled me from it before. Just that the game was fun, and I could play what was fun to me. But it doesnt really scratch the itch anymore as im either forced to play the builds pushed by fans in the discord, or lose to them on the builds they nerf everytime they lose to a high roll version of it.
很垃圾的游戏。一点都不好玩。设计师完全不会玩游戏。玩这样子的游戏是浪费人生
Fun autobattler but it take a while to grasp the basic of the game. To win in this game (10 victories). -You need to know card/item abilities -what skill will make your board stronger -when will your board fall off and which item in your inventory can help you pivot to other archtype/build -which encounter to choose -etc. So, you need to play a lot to gain experience and get familar with the card and skill. A full run(10 victories) take around 40-60 min, depending on how fast you make decision and how many time you lost. Monetization are 1.cosmetics, which can be entirely ignore, you can get everything by just playing. 2.characters, there is no way to get it aside from buying dlc.
The game is sadly formed a bit too much by RNG. If you are not high rolling, after a few ingame days you just want to concede and start another run, that is not good game design (there are of course penalties for conceding). You have tiny agency to change this compared to for example Mechabellum were you can buy pretty much any unit you think that you need for your build, in this game it depends on what you happen to find. Day 3, meeting Stella with the airgun, you are just dead, it does not matter what kind of start you had or what you play, you just die. Day 1 Jules, you find somewhat synergistic items, your opponent have almost to a T the same items, sadly your opponent had better RNG so instead of Ricecooker they have Switchblade, which loses you day 1. Do not play this, powercreep is ever present (why can you die within 5 seconds, all items with a cooldown of 7 seconds without charge or haste is just a waste of space?) You have no agency over your board after day 10, if you don´t play very specific builds (preferably with some "shiny" rng) you just die EVERY fight. As a player your competency do not seem to matter that much, in one game, you win 10 straight victories, you found what you needed at every turn. Another game, you do not find anything, not a single victory. Does that mean you are a good or bad player? No conclusions can be drawn from it, it is just the rng in the game, it is by design. Edit: Recently I died after recieving 55k burn damage in 7 seconds (powercreep and RNG together wohoo), someone found a dragon heart with the new character. If you are not playing a burst cold build you are just dead (probably from the first 5k burn, it is usually enough). Since you do not know when you meet such an opponent, and if you do not like to lose every game, you need to build ice burst every game, fun? Hardly. There is no place for experimentation, if your build is fun but not optimal, dead, every time. If you are a new player, prepare to get stomped if you only imagine playing it casually.
Buy to win heros that cost the same as the game.
The game is quite interesting but when each DLC hero is the same price as the base game it's hard to recommend the game. At the moment there is 5 DLC heros and it will costs over $125 plus another 25.99 for the base game
