In 4 words : Generated by Artificial Intelligence

Insulting art direction

Chara-design is AI. See these 5 pooches on the thumbnail? That's about 97% of the (250+) beasts roaster. All ""statistically cute"" creatures, fluffy abberations with big eyes. The remaining 3% are random ""statistically cool"" entities. Scrolling through the beast roaster has been an incredibly uncanny experience. Avoid if under 18.
Art direction is a theory against its own existence. The intro is like "A war has been raging", then from the moment it ends, the music switches to "A cute date at the mall with your anime waifu". The battle theme is quiet and misterious.
Sound design is simply absurd. Besides the menu and battle themes that would anihilate any competition in the Game Awards' "Track that matches the least the actions it's played on" category, experienced players will recognize the classic punch sound effect, or the "YAAY" (oh my...) that plays on every kill, including enemy's.

Heartstone clones are not ok anymore
There are already countless Heartstone clones on the gamign market. Good or not, it's not the point. There are already good ones. This genre still leaves so much to be explored, and simply cloning an almost-10-years-old game (And by far the most mimicked of all TCGs) is straight up an insult to players.
Conclusion
I seriously have trouble believing real people made this The game direction could be described as "symptom of capitalist design". Just like many other studios, they most likely chose the Heartstone model to get into the TCG market without much investment, since it's proven to work well. They made a sick serious intro because most others do it, then switched to ""cuteness"" because stats show people are more attracted by this. However :

They didn't think about the cuteness being a 180° from the serious intro, because stats don't tell about this
They didn't realize filling the whole cardbase with big-eyed furballs would be straight up uncanny, because stats don't tell about this
They didn't even try on sound effects, because stats don't tell about this. Big games naturally come with solid sound direction, so there're not been many example of bad audio ruining games.
They didn't think about the campaign. One-time only rewards that can probably be 100%'d in a single session. Stats only tell singleplayer content is trendy.
I'd recommend giving a try just to see a caricature of the modern video games industry. Make sure to take a garbage email for this tho. Yes I was bored tonight

Solo "missions": Can get rewards only once, basically can't lose, done in 10 minutes Solo "dungeon": Basically can't lose level 1, basically can't win level 2. Multiplayer: Looking for opponent... When you start for the first time you are asked to choose between two decks, thinking this is just for the tutorial or just once, but no - the deck you choose now is the ONE deck you will have to play with and the only other one is not available. Sorry, but as cute as the game looks - not a good experience. Also the only things explained are the absolute basics that are the same like in similar games ("This is the attack power, this is the HP, don't forget that if your HP reaches zero, you lose,,,, Really?) These is no explanation on anything else like what are the "traits" that cards come with like "water". Probably not launching this again unless i see some serious patch notes.
Instant pay required for new cards, cannot buy cards with currency gained in-game(the W thing)

Warning: Third Party Account This game requires you to create a third party "Sendinair Game Accounts (Email registration)" account... there's no valid reason for this in a PC game when SteamWorks is available. This is often done to harvest private data and profile you, with potential sale and transmission of your private data to third parties. The developers will probably argue that you can trust them, but if they were trustworthy they wouldn't demand you create a third party account. This represents a considerable risk to gamers due to the privacy and security implications of developers that wish to bypass Steam and harvest user data. Remember, sometimes if the product is free, YOU are the product.

Warning: Microtransaction infested mobile app! This game is infested with a toxic mobile app style cash shop. You will be prompted to and expected to give money to the developers through this cash shop to buy in-game goods so you can play the game.
Beast Collector is one of thousands of nasty mobile apps infesting the "free" section of Steam, but it's not really free. There's only a superficial "game" here. This garbage CCG strains hard to be a Pokemon CCG ripoff, but with disgusting looking AI slop "art" or art that's obviously plagiarised from real Pokemon games (pretty sure that's an Evee you can see in the promo art) instead of real, genuine artwork. But there's a parallel to the AI slop looking art and the actual game... it's just a thin skin pretending to be real. So really, the mobile app "game" is just a veneer, a thin skin wrapped around a nasty, predatory mobile app cash shop. Thus, the true purpose of this mobile app is to get you to hand your credit card details to the greedy mobile devs so you can buy stuff in the nasty cash shop... it shouldn't be considered a real game because it's a mobile app cash harvester, and has no place in your game library. Putting that toxic mobile app monetisation aside... this is a mobile app. I didn't spend thousands on a gaming PC so I could pretend it's an iPhone, and I don't think you did either... this kind of mobile app has no place in your Steam library. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 5 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
