For the price, this game is a steal! Loving the rogue lite elements, tons of loot. I just wish you could actually customize the armor besides a few color swaps. Other than that, Its really fun.
Pros: Very fun mix of hack and slash and rougelite gameplay. just found a build that reminds me a lot of vampire survivors just dealing massive damage to everything around me. combos reminiscent to dynasty warriors games. Cons: Maps are a bit repetitive and bare boned. occasionally some major freezing. (doesn't crash completely but definitely makes you nerves.) makes my PC turn into a room heater so likely could still use more optimization. ultimately it is playable and fun in its current state with enough content and characters that you can get some hours. likely something to cycle back to now and again when you wait for other games to update or release.
Game's really addicting. Once you push through the jank, there is a game that's hard to put down underneath. Unfortunately the budget constraints do rear its head often, but this is the first third person action game that got the addictive nature of arpgs down. Hope sequel will drop the jungle levels and chinese levels and just embrace the dark fantasy. And a better procedural leveling system. Will update the review once again at the end.
If you like musou games (Dynasty Warriors being the genre staple) where you murder hundreds of mooks with magic, big swords and flashy attacks, this will be enjoyable for you. It's pure gameplay - move through linear areas, cut through hordes of mooks and some stronger foes, then take down the boss. Collect loot, money and crystals to upgrade your character along the way. There are multiple characters that can be unlocked, typically needing to be found and spoken to in various game stages. They are generally unique, though a couple seem to be similar in how they operate. Each one has some special trait like higher crit chance and the like, and that allows you to focus equipment types to try and make a build for the character. Equipment comes in the standard Diablo-esque color flavors, representing rarity and power. Each character can equip a weapon, two eidolons (think of them as magic drones that automatically attack enemies with magic) and three trinkets. They each have base stats, then they have affixes that grant extra bonuses - higher physical damage, more magic damage, damage reduction, so on. They are all "numbers go up" style bonuses, and aren't generally very exciting. Affixes can be rerolled using money, but each item has a fixed amount of rerolls. Once you hit the cap you can't change affixes anymore. That is the only use for money, and you gain cash through killing enemies or disassembling equipment you don't need. It's not a terribly exciting system, as once you get the affixes you want for a character you probably won't try changing much. The game does provide several loadouts per character though, so it's not as tedious to experiment as you might think. The gameplay follows the genre standard - combos using light attack, ending with heavy attack. So chain light attacks, then end the combo with heavy attacks. The combat is flashy and is satisfying in clearing hordes of enemies with sweeps of your weapon. There is a dodge is as well, and the devs did put in a 'perfect dodge' system, likely intended for bosses - time it correctly and you get a counter attack, but it's often useless because boss attacks and your dodge will often separate you so much that the prompt either doesn't appear, or is useless because you're too far away. I wasn't personally a fan of this, as it feels like they tried to do Souls-lite boss fights - complete with homing attacks. That simply isn't congruous with the rest of the game. Regardless, if you know how to build your character's equipment and affixes, most bosses will die like a chump and you won't have to engage with the mediocre dodge system. There is jank - enemies will get stuck on geometry, float in the air when hopping down from higher areas, drop into areas where you can't reach them... execution prompts (when you break a large enemy's stance) will appear, but you must be standing in the exact correct spot to trigger it, otherwise nothing happens. Your character can get stuck on geometry too, and I've had to quit a couple of missions due to being stuck during an attack. Considering the sale price? Worth it. You can shut off your brain, clear hordes of enemies, mess with item affixes to build your characters, and just have fun.
Awesome game with excellent gameplay like Dynasty Warriors/Diablo and graphics that puts to shame big AAA woke titles. Needs even more sexy costumes!
感觉打击感怪怪的...不像真三那么爽...
游戏一般般,冲着工作人员名单里开发者就三个人,给个好评,再接再厉,希望能做出更好的游戏。
