Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.44/day in the week to Aug 4 → 31.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

top down shooting, tactical options, and online co-op. gets boring playing alone, but very fun taking down bosses, especially with friends

The Ascent is one of the most stylish and satisfying twin-stick shooters ever made — a neon-soaked cyberpunk thrill ride that marries breathtaking visuals with tight, explosive combat. It’s gorgeous, punchy, and an absolute blast — especially with friends. The World & Visuals Let’s start with what hits you instantly: this game is stunning. Every corner of Veles — the vertical arcology-city owned by the all-powerful Ascent Group — drips with cyberpunk atmosphere. Neon signs flood rain-slick streets; towering skyscrapers plunge into smog-choked depths; holographic billboards and flickering ads paint the darkness in electric blues, hot pinks, and acid greens. It’s easily one of the best-looking indie games ever made — and that’s no exaggeration. The attention to detail is incredible: vendors shout from stalls, trains thunder overhead, lights flicker and flare, and every level feels distinct — from industrial underbelly to opulent corporate spires. The music seals the deal: a throbbing synthwave/industrial score that swells during combat and hums while you explore — pure vibe, start to finish. Gameplay & Combat Beneath the beauty lies rock-solid twin-stick shooting. Guns feel heavy, punchy, and loud — bullets kick up sparks, enemies explode in satisfying clouds of debris, and every weapon from shotguns to plasma rifles has real weight. Mix in cyberware abilities — dash, rocket jumps, explosive drones — and fights become chaotic, tactical, and wildly fun. As you level up, you unlock new gear, augmentations, and stat boosts. The loot loop keeps you tinkering with builds — slapping on better armour, swapping to energy weapons, or leaning into tech abilities. It’s deep enough to stay interesting without being overwhelming. And co-op is the star — bring up to 3 friends and the campaign transforms into glorious, chaotic mayhem. Enemies scale, bullets fly everywhere, and reviving each other mid-firefight feels like a proper team moment. The Minor Flaws It’s not perfect. Early on, fast travel costs money and backtracking between missions can feel tedious. The map is occasionally confusing, and some side quests send you on long treks through familiar territory. A few launch bugs have since been patched, but you might still spot the odd quirk. None of this ruins the experience — it just means it’s not quite a masterpiece. But the core gameplay loop — shoot, loot, upgrade, repeat — is strong enough to carry you right past the rough edges. Final Verdict The Ascent delivers exactly what it promises: a gorgeous, gritty cyberpunk adventure with knockout visuals, thunderous combat, and one of the best co-op experiences in years. It’s the kind of game you’ll want to show off to friends — and then play with them. If you love cyberpunk, twin-stick shooters, or just games that look incredible and feel great to play — don’t miss it. "A stunning cyberpunk masterpiece in waiting — beautiful, brutal, and brilliant fun."
Game already finished on another platform, was fun. Currently giving it a shot using remote play together with my kid.
É mais um Shooter do que RPG, Cenário perfeito, jogabilidade me lembra jogos de PS1 nao sei por que. RECOMENDO!
An okay top-down shooter rpg in an excellently-crafted cyberpunk world. This game offers a specific experience that does some things very well and some things not so well. The good is that the developers absolutely nailed the cyberpunk vibe. Gorgeous art style in a grungy world. The characters and lore are very well written and believably a part of this world. The incredible voice acting is just the cherry on top. There are so many games I've played that are fun to play, but just completely miss the "vibe-design". This game does not suffer from that. However, this game does suffer from various game-breaking bugs, just annoying bugs, unbalanced weapons, inaccurate "recommended level" for side quests, simplistic rpg elements, unbalanced economy (you need money when you don't have it and have too much when you don't need it), and a god-awful transversal system. They really needed to make traversing less of a pain even with the taxi. It takes forever to complete side quests as a result and feels like you're just walking for most of the game. Combat is also chaotically fun for most of the game, but outstayed it's welcome by the time I got to the DLC. I ended up just skipping most of the combat encounters that I could to get through the story and side quests, which is never a good sign. I played mostly solo, but I imagine co-op would provide a more fun experience minus the slow traversal. In conclusion, if you decide to try this game, it would be for it's world-design, story, and chaotic couch co-op gameplay. I wouldn't recommend the DLC as it doesn't offer enough to keep the energy high. 100% Achievement Completion Perspective: Not really that fun to 100% because there are a few just tedious DLC achievements to get. If you do try this game for its vibes, don't even worry about the achievements.
The best game for the Steam Deck, it runs at 40-60 FPS on high graphics settings, the main thing is to remove the 30 FPS lock in the game settings, otherwise I couldn't understand why I was lowering the graphics but the FPS wasn't going up. But there are problems with optimization, in the game there are a lot of places where the game, at its stable 40 FPS, starts stuttering shamelessly (FPS doesn't change), there are many such places, and here you just have to endure it, judging by the reviews, this is normal. I haven't encountered any crashes, but there were freezes, at a certain moment, the game just froze and you had to completely restart it. About the gameplay: Music - Decent, not "PONPON ♥♥♥♥" from Cyberpunk of course, but it goes well with a beer. Graphics - FIRE, the overall scale of the world is breathtaking, everywhere there are crowds of people and aliens, some kind of movement is happening, everyone is walking somewhere, talking. I expected cringe with 3 NPCs sitting in their places like statues, but I got a living world. The environment... Words can't describe it, sometimes you come across such views that honestly, Cyberpunk 2077 sometimes doesn't measure up to these views and the scale of the world, I'm delighted! Story - Decent, it doesn't reach for the stars, but you don't want to throw up either Shooting - I didn't like shooting with a mouse, with a gamepad, you have to get used to it, but overall I liked it more with a gamepad. What saddens me is the stick's performance, if you tilt it just a little, the crosshair moves unevenly, there are a lot of misses, because of this, weapons like rifles and revolvers are almost unplayable, they have a small number of rounds in the magazine, low rate of fire, you need to hit, you need accuracy, and doing this using the stick is very hard, with a mouse there won't be a problem. Weapons - There are many, but most are useless, what's the point of shooting from a rocket launcher at 250 damage per second, if a machine gun deals 60 damage but fires 12-20 rounds per second... Gameplay - Go, fetch. At point "A" you took a task, on the way to point "B" you killed a couple or three mobs, at point "B" you touched a console or talked and back to point "A", killing everything alive along the way. That's the whole game. But overall, I liked it!
Great game, but looks a bit unfinished. Unfortunately, by design. - Enormous maps with very unclear struclure, where you have to WALK from point to point. - Mission markers are crazy. You never know what level they are on or how long does it take to get there. You can only WALK and see - direction marker is good (until it catches a glitch and you will go to a wrong point. But don't worry, just restart the game, lol) - Upgrades are meh... I spent some time to understand the structure, but in the end they are not so helpful - Some enemies are weak, some are unbeatable on low levels. You can run into any band at any time, which is confusing. Feels like the balance is glitched - Etc. But it is still good. Recommended. Reminded me a Ruiner, but less condensed
