The 7th Guest: 25th Anniversary Edition

Played for all 6 minutes, the mouse cursor doesn’t line up with what you want, during the cake puzzle I’d put the finger on the piece I wanted then it’d disappear and I’d have to move to the right for it to highlight the ones I was aiming at, awful, refunded after that, can’t play a game when the mouse cursor on screen doesn’t even do what you’re wanting it to do

Leuke uitdagende puzzels, van alle tijden. Dezelfde puzzels bij herspelen dus enkel voor nieuwe spelers.

Still holds up to this day!

Perhaps too spooky for some?

I played it numerous times from the CD that was included with my Creative SB16, on my old 486 I had overclocked to 100MHz, as a youth (using a walk-through I found on irc->ftp server); and then played it again a few years ago on here, yet somehow didn't get the cheese for the piano puzzle! I am now reinstalling it again because its worth playing again, and again...

There are games that stay over years...unfortunately, the 7th Guest aged badly. I played years ago, and it looked marvellous with the FMV scenes, on the old CRT monitor I had. I was young, and this kind of games looked sooo modern, with multiple CDs, true actors. Now, you can say anything bad about this game: the video resolution is poor, the puzzles are confusing (imho) and the story is pretty hard to understand clearly. But it has one thing it lacked in the original version: the italian subtitles!! So, if you felt missing a good slice of the game when you played the 7th Guest years ago, NOW it's the time to get this title and spend hours trying to solve difficult puzzles in the eerie Stauf's mansion! Ahahahahahahahahaha!

Do not ever play this game, if someone dares you to, never touch this, stay away from it. PLEASE

Henry Stauf è un vagabondo che, grazie a delle sue visioni, diventa un giocattolaio di grande successo. La sua fortuna però si fermerà con i primi casi di morti misteriose dei suoi piccoli clienti. Noi, insieme ad altri 6 ospiti saremo invitati nella sua villa per risolvere degli enigmi creati dal padrone di casa. Tra un enigma e l’altro, il gioco ci darà la possibilità di conoscere un minimo gli altri ospiti e piano piano avremo ulteriori informazioni su tutta la faccenda. A mio avviso però ci volevano più informazioni anche perché a fine gioco, ho iniziato ad avere tante domande che mi frullavano in testa. Il gioco di per sé fa il suo lavoro e funziona bene, peccato che delle volte mi si sia bloccato o chiuso a icona da solo. Lo consiglierei comunque? Sì anche perché l’atmosfera horror funziona ancora a meraviglia e gli enigmi erano ben fatti ed alcuni abbastanza complessi.

A good return to classic point and click gaming. Plays pretty well even on a banger of a system. Good puzzles that sometimes can be annoying in that way that puzzles usually are. But still good times.
