I honestly really like the visuals
It's not a bad game but definitely not worth the price, especially if you aren't getting it on sale like I did. I'll start with the positives because honestly I would prefer to give this game a neutral review rather than outright bad. First off, the vibes? Immaculate. The music? Spectacular. As a big Tetris enjoyer, these elements were the main thing that drew me to this game, since I just play the online ver. in my free time anyway, I wanted nicer vibes for my Tetris and I got that. However, my major issue with this game is that THERE ARE TOO MANY PARTICLE EFFECTS. I played on expert from the start, because like I said, big Tetris fan, and I found myself more challenged by the visual impairment than the speeds the game got to. Also, while I like the visual direction, the visuals themselves are like in 480p, maybe 720p if I'm being generous? It took away some of the vibes and immersion. Also, this game messes up my 2nd monitor display when I fullscreen. If this was a port of an old game it would be forgiveable, but this is a 2018 game with a 2021 rerelease, you'd think the devs would account for 2-monitor setups. This is more of a minor grievance, but I thought I'd mention it. I do wanna say, it looks like I haven't played much of the game yet because of my playtime, but I think finishing 4 areas in journey mode (which is like 16 stages) on the highest difficulty level gives me enough playing experience to make this review. Also, I don't have a VR headset and aren't planning on getting one, so I can't really comment on that experience. I can only imagine the migraines I would get from the quick eye movement if this was in VR mode though. As someone who really does love Tetris and had this game wishlisted since the moment I stumbled upon it last year, I do feel genuinely disappointed with what I got. Had this been 5-10EUR maybe I wouldn't be so harsh, but this game costs 34EUR at full price and even with 50% off I still don't think it was quite worth the price I paid.

Personal Rating: Very Positive (80%) It´s Tetris made in Unreal Engine! A must-have if you are a Tetris enthusiast like me. My favourite gememodes are Classic Score attack and Marathon (Endless) It´s been a year with this game and I still suck at level 19 speed on the Classic. :D
Whatever the programmer did to the matchmaking system has completely ruined this game. I have 131 hours in, my average speed is 50 pieces and I used to peak right around 4900 SR. The game is fundamentally broken Tonight, I was forced to play 5500+ SR speed demon who drops 110+ piece a second (literally twice as fast as Humanly possible for me) F O U R TIMES in ROW. After getting obliterated, I disconnected, reconnected to try and flush the queue and the game handed me a second god-tier player 5700+ SR ANOTHER FOUR TIMES IN ROW. I would at least like to win a few games thank you vary much. BUT wait here is the sick and sadist truth I now have to fight someone who is at 3000 low SR who's speed is 35 pieces a second. I do not even try all that much I win and I'm not even playing hell I most time practice a that new stupid T-spin the game is called Tetris not T-spin anyways I win and of course I do 35 pieces are grandma and grandpa level of players. Yet the Crazy part in the back ground before picking the match I saw 30+ plus players in the background WHO guess what THERE MY LEVEL at 4000 SR to 4500. Yet I have to wait for 1 minute and 30 seconds in que to face a monster 100 avg drop rate or weaking who does not know how to drop a pieces.
This game showed me the person that always been but never dreamed.
It's Tetris. Not much more to say than that. You're supposed to own at least one copy of Tetris and this is a pretty version.
