Last update to this was October, 2022. There are newer versions available which some think are worse and others better. From what I have seen, if I play again it will likely be with a newer version on sale. For cheap, but fun, this definitely works.

Muy buen juego, para los que les gusta los manager esta expectacular, lo malo es algunos movimientos durante el partido, no parecen naturales, parece como que el tenista levita sobre la superficie de la cancha.

J'ai découvert le jeu grâce à Arthur Ray. Le jeu est très addictif et génial lorsqu'on adore les jeux de gestion (et le tennis, ce qui est mon cas) !! Bravo! Points notables: - Une base de données très solide et souvent crédible (quelques ratés comme les stats affligeants en technique et en mental de Clijsters ou de vieux joueurs qui IRL n'ont plus aucun physique mais qui n'ont rien perdu de leur talent) - Une multitude de choix stratégiques et tactiques. On regrettera le manque de conseils sur le plan de jeu et les atouts liés aux statistiques (un joueur uniquement bon en retour doit jouer la contre-attaque? S'il n'est pas bon dans le jeu, on fait comment?) - Une interface comprise en une à deux heures de jeu. Très bien! - Une évolution crédible des joueurs, quoique parfois lente. Les joueurs âgés ne semblent régresser physiquement. - Point négatif notable: les communications sont très redondantes et le jeu considère dans ses questions (et même suggestions de tournoi) qu'un 6e junior est 6e mondial. Ce n'est pas crédible. - Les matchs sont assez bien fichus pour un jeu de gestion! - Ne faudrait-il pas indiquer un risque de blessure pour mieux moduler les entrainements? Dans le risque, je mets tout le temps les charges d'entrainement à "normales" mais j'ignore si je ne maximalise pas assez mes joueurs. - Le jeu est français et les développeurs sont passionnés, cela se sent, cela se voit. C'est formidable! En revanche, gros gros problème: le jeu plante souvent. Parfois lorsque le match doit commencer mais très souvent sur le menu: la souris bouge encore mais l'image se fige (sauf la souris, donc). Cela arrive en moyenne toutes les 6 à 8 semaines (parfois moins quand je m'arrête chaque jour). C'est extrêmement rageant! On ne peut pas dire que ce soit lié à mon ordinateur car je joue régulièrement à des jeux plus gourmands (planet zoo, F1, pro cycling manager). Bilan: 8/10

Firstly I have a less than passing interest in Tennis and have a very basic grasp of the rules etc but i do love management sims. This game surprised me on how good the match engine is, arguably better than football manager. Goes into great depth too. I picked it up in the steam sale at £7 - easily worth anything up to £10, if tennis is your sport this game is a must

After all, I had to edit my positive comment into a bad one; Now after around 70 hours of play, I cannot recommend Tennis Manager 2022. The game lacks depth. After a few seasons there start problems with the top stars where extending the contract as the costs don't cover the income. So you turn talents into superstars and then let them go in theyre prime just to look for new talents and start from the scratch again. In addition, the whole fitness system bothers me, it's just annoying and exhausting and unrealistic. Also the publisher doesnt work on the game anymore since few monthes now. The game never felt finished and polished. The community was dead from the beginning and you can count the players on your hand because lack of sells. I hope they do better in the future.

By far the best of the series. 2022 is light years better than 2023 and 2024. Also, I have no idea why the devs release each year the same game again and again. Please wai four years at the very least to give you time to develop a proper game NEW version. All you do is dig your grave with lesser versions of your previous games. One year is not enough time to make a new game and even less playtest and debug it. Strong points : - Challenging yet possible to win tournaments - Good development of characters with a max potential and longevity of carreer. - Simple to learn - Easy to play Down sides (Most are superficial) - Animation during matches should be more about where the ball is that anything else. Too many times the players hits the ball but their racket is too far. - Less randomness in the background and more about what is happening in the court in matches. Sometimes, I get the feeling that some things are predetermined before the match starts. This should never happen. When you watch a match, it should be just like an A.I. vs A.I. game in a hockey or football video game. That is about it. Buy this game instead of 2023 and 2024... and I bet 2025 will be even worse than 2024.
