A good new installment this year with the integration of MyPlayer. BUT: I'm talking about integration, not something new. And remember that MyPlayer is a mobile game; the core gameplay remains the career mode with our academy. It's nice to have MyPlayer integrated, it's fun and engaging to play, but in the case of TM 26, it shouldn't be seen as a complete game, but as a learning tool before moving on to Career mode for new players. In MyPlayer, you learn basic player styles, basic tactics/game plan before and in match, and how to plan your tournaments and training in a simplified way for each week. And also... follow and take care of your form and morale ! In Career mode, this is what's required: planning each week for your player(s). It's more in-depth, but you'll still find the synergy of MyPlayer. Many players in MyPlayer complain about sometimes training hard for "green arrows" only to quickly find themselves with "red arrows" later on. MyPlayer doesn't tell you why (But in your coaching career you will quickly understand why.). The mechanics of how gains and losses work are not immediately clear. If you mess up in a tournament, you'll lose form in every category. Conversely, if you achieve your objective or do more during a tournament, you'll notice that even without training, your form will improve in all areas by the end of the week. And sometimes, yes, it's difficult to get out of a vicious cycle where you have penalties and you have to win matches to regain confidence. The difficulty of your tournaments must be planned accordingly. Regarding Career mode, no one will be lost compared to version 25. The new interface is very well designed; it's easy to get to grips with, and the addition of menus and submenus is a real plus for navigation. A significant improvement has been made in this area, which is very good Few real new features in pure management. Here too, during a match, tactics and game plans can be intimidating. And once again, MyPlayer will be useful in that case.. In career mode, during a match, you can choose and access to the MyPlayer tactics settings (the sliders for Service/Counter/Attack/Rally/Defense). In conclusion, the Tennis Manager + MyPlayer version should be seen as a package that ultimately complements each other quite well. For experienced players, build your career and take the opportunity to relax with MyPlayer; for new players or those discovering tennis, learn the essentials with MyPlayer and then start a career to properly manage your players.
Overall a fun time! I've played a couple of Tennis managers in the past and this one has some solid QoL improvements and upgrades compared to the last. One of the ones I highlighted in a previous game was being able to click on names in inboxes - that's now in the game so that was great to see. Overall positives: - Match engine is solid, the match feels as smooth as it can - Runs incredibly well - UI is smooth even if a bit tough to learn at first, but once you do it's straight forward and responsive - Lots of customization / options to adjust how you want to play - You can start at any difficulty level you want, make life tough for your academy etc. - It's fun! Challenges that I experienced: - Morale and form are still incredibly confusing and make very little to no sense. Your player can be on a tear for the year then lose on fairly irrelevant game to someone stronger than them and their morale plummets to rock bottom - Form swings way too fast as well and is very difficult to fix through training even though there are specifically heavy form trainings for that purpose. The lack of information on both morale and form makes it impossible to figure out why - The training is customizable but still not very clear in terms of what is actually best for your person to do. - Unless I'm mistaken, you get basically no attribute increase for playing tournaments / matches which is kind of wild to me. It's a bit bizarre that you can do a training match and get attribute increases but nothing for playing actual games. - A lot of the building upgrades need to give more info - if you upgrade your hardcourts you get "bonus on hard 20%". Mastery of the surface? Your player is 20% better? You get 20% more training attributes when doing hard court training? What are the form bonuses? Do they improve that specific kind of training or do those trainings improve your form? - The automatic coaching seems to be very rough. I hired some pretty good coaches for my other players and they are just floundering. They don't seem to be improving much, they're picking bad tournaments, they aren't even changing the court that the players are training on to match what they need. Trusting the AI coaches seems to be dicey at best. Again though, overall fun, a solid game, I'll keep buying the iterations but hopefully some of those areas see improvement too!
1/10 STARS This is the very first time I've ever purchased "manager game" that was over $20.. and to say the least, for a $40 GAME, this was a DISAPPOINTMENT. ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT BUYING THIS GAME? READ THIS REVIEW!! DO NOT BUY THIS GAME UNTIL YOU READ! Let me give you a solid breakdown on why this game has the potential to be great and why the developers tried to just slop a mobile game into a "PC-made" game for damn near quadruple the price ! MyPlayer mode is about as SIMPLE as it gets. Your character customization is BARE minimum. Options are limited to default face models, top/face accessories, and any face/body customization. Don't get me started with the AI photo avatars you get. You don't get any clothes/equipment up until you actually get sponsors. So while you could be making a lot of money from tournaments, your earned income just sits until you can "invest" in the invest option for weekly income and other bonuses. So much for doing anything with your hard earned money watching your character go thru a gruesome 32 round tournament. The training .. yeah. What training? It's basically just a teether-totter training game; on when you should train certain stats to have them right, just before the next tournament. You build "stats" by progressing in the skill tree. Which in turn adds to your actual stats. This isn't done by training. And the only way you can get "stat progression" is by leveling up. How bout just giving us the options to build stats based on how the player wants their character built, not to go off on a "stat-tree" that you have to initially unlock useless skills to get "drop shot". Slice and lob shots aren't even a thing in the "stat-tree" so you have to use a skill point to get obtain the "lob" or the "slice" mastery. Moving on to more of the mess.. Getting into the game, it makes you wonder if a team of devs really took their time on this game. EVERY cinematic scene is the same as the MOBILE game.. So in other words, these guys basically just turned a mobile game into a PC game and charged us players $40 dollars compared to their mobile game that's $10. To tell you the truth, this game is WORTH $15 at the most! You don't get nothing EXTRA other then some lame "my gm" mode with a terrible cluster flux of a UI that gets you nowhere! If you're gonna charge $40 for a simulator game, DO NOT MAKE IT LIKE THE MOBILE GAME. This is just a RIP OFF version of the mobile game. In fact, let's get to some of the bugs. 1. THE NET HAS A HOLE. - Whenever either player hits the ball into the net, it magically goes thru the net and falls onto the other side giving the winner to the person that hit the ball. This is done on the 1.4x speed while watching on TV camera. 2. WHAT ARE YOU SWINGING AT? - Your player will swing randomly at the air before the ball even gets to them. Maybe there's something in the way? Who knows.. but my character looks like a wild man swinging for the fences before the tennis ball is even hit by his opponent. 3. MOONWALK OR SLIDE? - The sideways moonwalk will be my all-time favorite as the player does their best trying to hit a ball from the other side of the court. It's amazing how your character ONLY moves side to side EVEN when he's trying to sprint towards the ball. They basically sprint sideways. And only always sideways for all the movement. Your character is scared to look any other way! 4. NOW YOU VOLLEY, NOW YOU DON'T. - Oh the volley. When 2 tennis players collide at the net and it becomes pong for a second. Up until the ball is getting magically hit and nobody is even swinging their racquet. Could it be magic? Or could it be terrible production? It's up to you to decide. 5. THE 5th BUG IS THAT THIS GAME MADE IT TO PC - The developers should be ashamed for adding this slop to steam and calling it an actual PC game when you can just download the mobile game and do the EXACT SAME THING! DO NOT BUY THIS GAME for $40 when YOU CAN PLAY IT for $10 on MOBILE. I've already made it farther on my mobile account and it's JUST AS BUGGY as the PC version! If you guys need IDEAS, reach out to your community of players and see what would be a great addition to this game. ADD MORE visuals, Add more customization. Add more cinematics. Add more game modes with your character. Add more things to customize the character. Add more content. Add better avatars. Make it feel like you took the time to build this game instead of just copy and pasting your MOBILE game! What could be a great game, they decided to cash grab for $40! I hope you devs make better choices! Stay tune to see if they actually fixed the game and if it's worth the $40 they are asking. As for now, save your money. Go buy 2K Top Spin(ON SALE) or AO Tennis! Skip this game until the devs make it a real PC GAME!

Good game, play it every year and it always consumes me for a few days, the language translation is always an issue because the creators are not native English speakers, but once you get over that you can just dive in
Bockt
Super Game. Dachte nicht das es so viel Spaß macht. Sehr zu empfehlen. Leichter Sucht Faktor.
