I'm just a casual fighting game player who's been playing the Tekken series since Tekken 5, so this review comes from that perspective. As for the story, I think it's pretty good. While it's not the strongest aspect of the game, it does a satisfying job of wrapping up the long-running Mishima family conflict. And, as always, it wouldn't be a Tekken game without someone throwing a family member off a cliff. The character roster is excellent and offers a great variety of fighters, especially with the addition of several guest characters through collaborations. As for the original Tekken cast, I really like their updated designs. Ling Xiaoyu, in particular, looks significantly different compared to the previous games, and I think her redesign is one of the best in the series. The gameplay introduces new mechanics such as Rage Art and Rage Drive, adding another layer of strategy to every match. Both mechanics can completely turn the tide of a fight when used at the right moment. On top of that, combos feel much smoother than in previous entries, especially when juggling opponents in the air, making the combat more satisfying and rewarding to learn. As for the online mode, I haven't experienced any major issues so far. Matches have been smooth, and playing against other people has been a great way to improve my skills and learn different playstyles. This game also holds a special place in my heart. Back in college, my friends and I spent countless hours playing Tekken 7 together. At the time, we could only play a pirated copy because we simply couldn't afford the original. Now, years later, I'm finally able to buy the game with money I earned from my own job. It feels incredibly rewarding to finally own and support a game that gave me so many unforgettable memories. Overall, Tekken 7 is one of my favorite entries in the series. Whether you're a longtime fan or just a casual player like me, it offers an excellent roster, satisfying gameplay, and an experience that keeps you coming back for "just one more match."
