i enjoyed this on release initially, but until the card game is made playable im not going to recommend.
I've been having a great time with TCG Card Shop Simulator. It's obvious the game takes inspiration from Supermarket Simulator, but it builds on that formula with a lot of quality-of-life improvements and features that make it feel like its own game. The biggest highlight for me is the sense of progression. You're constantly working toward something, whether it's expanding your shop, unlocking new products, or improving your setup. Watching your small card shop grow into a successful business is incredibly satisfying. The card collecting side of the game is what really sets it apart. Opening booster packs, chasing rare pulls, and building your collection adds another layer of gameplay that keeps me coming back. It gives you something fun to do beyond simply running the store. That said, I do have a few complaints: -The grading system feels too restrictive. There are only four grading slots, grading is expensive, and the process takes a long time. It ends up feeling more tedious than rewarding. -Once you assign tasks to employees, there's no easy way to see what each employee is currently assigned to, which can make managing your shop confusing. -I wish there were more opportunities for exploration outside of the shop. Having a town or additional locations to visit would make the world feel more alive. Overall, if you enjoy management simulators, I definitely recommend this one. The satisfying progression, constant goals, and addictive card-opening mechanics make it easy to lose hours playing. With a few improvements to the grading system, employee management, and world exploration, this could become one of the best games in the genre.
highly recommend bought 2 card pack machines and believe me or not for the ppl that see this, but i pulled a full pack's worth of ghost cards
Digital crack I'm afraid.
I GOT 19 HOURS 2 DAYS AFTER I BOUGHT IT. the greatestg and most addicting shop game i ever played and genuinely extremely addicted to this game like its actually PEAK. its like supermarket sim but even better definitely recomeend
I was wanting to 100% this game before I wrote a review for it however I didn't because I have an insane problem with the game despite it being SO fun for the first and middle stretch of the game. This is still a massively great game, all the cards are very well designed and this scratches the itch for those who have always wanted to open their own card shop like me growing up having card games as a hobby and going to stores to play at local tournaments. Additionally has many other products your store can invest into than just cards to allow you to fully develop a cozy store that you can enjoy for a good portion of the game. HOWEVER, the late game and late game achievements is an absolutely pain and beyond chores to the point that it is NOT worth doing. Additionally customers just do extremely abnormal purchases, even if you suspend reality you still look at certain purchases these NPCs do and wonder why you are still open with these fiends needlessly spending money just to empty their bank accounts, I can understand NPC's buying however much they want of Packs of the Boxes because I too have bought far too many booster packs at one time in my life, BUT THERE IS ZERO REASON FOR THESE NPCS TO BE BUYING 8 OF THE SAME PLAYMAT. It makes zero sense and kind of ruins the vibe of the game that these customers can make insanely stupid purchases that kills your mental as you now need to stop checking people out to refill your shelf because an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ decided he wanted to scalp your shelf of one playmat. Nobody in the real world would EVER buy multiple of the same playmat unless you are a scalper, and if you are going to tell me you have or you're a scalper you need psyciatric help. Some of the products should be limited to 1 when it comes to these purchases because nothing is more infuriating that seeing someone walk to your counter and slap down 20 playmats, 10/10 of the same ones too. I love this game, but man, please make your endgame better, I cant keep up with my customers endless hunger and greed as they constantly wipe my shelves in late game and I don't even make that much money from it late game. You make the most profit off cards and graded cards, product just becomes a needless chore so your customers dont leave you bad reviews like you left one on Popeyes for not giving you enough ketchup.
