A puzzle platformer without any narration, you start the game and it leaves you to figure out what to do. At first it is confusing, as all you can do is jump across some trees and eventually come to a roadblock. But stick with it and it opens up as an nostalgic adventure from the 16-bit era of gaming (it is a Megadrive/Genesis game after all) Music is very minimal and the graphics vary from level to level but are always just detailed enough. When this is on a sale, definitely worth a look ! + Good 16-bit graphics and soft puzzle elements + Has automatic saving - Start is confusing, music minimal.

Unintuitive controls, no explanation of what to do or how to do it, I had to watch a YouTube clip just to realise the yellow guy can fly, input lag with PS4 controller and no way to know which button you're changing when configuring PS4 controller, wish I didn't buy.

Big Evil Corporation sono riusciti a onorare una console fantastica come il Mega Drive grazie a un lavoro che non si limita a seguire blandamente l'effetto nostalgico, ma che invece propone qualcosa di completamente nuovo per la console 16 Bit della SEGA. Tanglewood nonostante qualche limite dovuto alla ripetitività degli enigmi riesce nell'intento di essere un titolo valido e unico nel catalogo Mega Drive. Per chi è cresciuto negli anni 90 con le pubblicità di Jerry Calà è una tappa obbligatoria.

I can't recommend this game enough. It's the only retro game in which I've actually felt emotions besides rage and relief! You actually become attached to the characters! The scenery for the levels are just beautiful, each accompanied by carefully thought out routes, obstacles and enemies. You will have to use your brain to work your way through and you will quickly learn where you went wrong and proceed more diligently next time. The music matches the themes and the game play involved and by itself you'll be wanting to listen to more of it, it's lovely! If this were made back when retro consoles were current gen, this would have been in every kids collection. Absolutely incredible experience.

Awesome game. Very subtle in its delivery and addictive in game play. Atmosphere and music 5 stars. Wonderful and powerful strangeness. The kind that you can pick up and play casually. Puzzles are mostly intuitive. There is the occasional running issue, but I've found these have been fixed by restarting or refreshing after.

Отличная игра. Не похожа на остальные динамичные платформеры для сеги, имеет свою особую атмосферу. Геймплей медленный и спокойный с упором на головоломки , но и есть и несколько экшеновых моментов. Маловато боссов и слабо раскрыт сюжет. В остальном - отличная полноценная новая игра на давно ушедшую на пенсию консоль

Очень добротная и хорошо проработанная 16 битная инди) TANGLEWOOD - это яркий пример какими могли бы быть современные игры для megadrive) Атмосферно и оставляет после прохождения интересные эмоции, видно,что сделана с душой) Побольше бы такого в 16 битах) Проходил на консоли, т.к ром в комплекте, это очень круто для любителей ретро)
