Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

This game Can't be completed. I am at level 62 and I am stuck in the final boss battle (every party member is at level 62 except for Lailah which is level 57). The Armatized heldalf is using a mysterious arte which can't be avoided. This arte is killing every party member at once. I've looked up on youtube and they says it can only be avoided on Play Station by pressing L1. but what about PC users? So, if you're on a PC, don't waste money on impossible games. It's a bug on PC. (It's been 2 weeks since I am trying to defeat him but everytime heldalf uses that arte and kills all of the seriph, roze, armatized me at only one shot even at full HP)
Honestly embarrassingly bad for a game made by a professional studio. I don't like to abandon things so quickly but absolutely everything about ToZ just screams "avoid me" like a poison dart frog. The entire thing reeks of cheapness. I can't find any real information on it online but this whole debacle must have been rushed out, or given a bad budget, or a team of people new to the industry, or something. I really hope there was some excuse, cause the alternative is just sad. The most noticeable thing here is that the game is just butt ugly- I'm not usually the type to really get on something for "graphical fidelity" and play the "but in X year there should be Y HD-ness" card, but it really does just boggle the mind how the company behind games like Tales of Symphonia, Vesperia, even Legendia could produce something that looks like a low budget, early days PS2 game (discounting the character models). There was a smash cut early in the game from a cutscene to an enormous, perfectly straight, low poly hallway bridge on a flat environment that actually made me lose my composure and burst out laughing. It's that bad. The world is just flat, sparse, and drab- something that carries over to the characters, who all animate like stiff robots or marionette dolls while spewing out some of most amateurish writing I've seen in a professional production in a long time. Sure, Tales games can be a bit hit or miss with the characters sometimes, but this is just embarrassing. It reads like something written by a teenager for a school project, and isn't helped by being backed by the blandest "big evil guy and the destined hero" rubbish in the world. A story brief that was old 20 years before this game game out. Mechanically the game feels like a very new-school RPG, full of button mashing, caked in stupid flash and flair, with jumbled piles of excessive gimmicky system nonsense lobbed at you in a big, useless, impossible to digest pile before you have a chance to acclimate to even the most basic parts of the game. Even hours in I was still getting tutorial prompts in almost every battle about yet another tacked on piece of nonsense the battles featured. Like they believed if they crammed enough crap in there it'd make it worthwhile to play, instead of just having a solid base to work something unique on top of. Also, you know, gotta love the new-school thing where characters won't ever shut the ♥♥♥♥ up during combat OR exploration. How about instead of just bad characters, we have bad characters who you always have to listen to, yapping about total garbage 24/7, because god forbid the modern gamer doesn't have a button to mash, a big flashy animation to gawk at, or a quip to hear every ten seconds. Maybe the characters and the plot get better later on, but why would I stick around for it? The game is grating to listen to, annoying to play, and obnoxious to look at. ToZ is the type of game that just gives you a sense of "you only have so many years to live- why spend those hours, those days, dealing with something so laughably, pathetically bad?

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 13: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

We really enjoy the limited options for controlling the characters. Only being able to move the camera in 2 directions adds a whole new level of difficulty that we have not yet experienced in the series. Also PURIFYING FLAME!!! BIRD IS THE WORD???!!!?!!?!? Pretty poor Tales game and I've only played Berseria and Vesperia. I think the one good trait this game has is the chemistry and banter between the cast but that goes for any Tales game. We have generic naive good guy, Sorey, as our main character tasked with saving the world from bad guys. That's it. There is no character complexity like in Berseria with Velvet being sort of the perceived villain and completely filled with the desire for revenge. Or like Yuri, the vigilante, going about delivering justice in his own way. No. Sorey is just from the start, Mr. Goody Two Shoes and thats it. Combat is a downgrade from Berseria. The battles take place wherever you initiated the fight so you end up fighting on sloped hills or claustrophobic areas where the camera just gets stuck looking at the ground and other janky stuff. Not that Berseria's gameplay was that great to begin with. The overworld is just a whole lot of empty space and a lot of running. And this game runs at 30fps by default somehow. Had to install a mod just to get 60fps.
