Tales of Zestiria is a game that gets more hate than it deserves. While overall it is weaker than other entries on the series, I would say that it's still pretty good and has most of the things that people expect out of a Tales game. Sorey can seem like a boring protagonist at first, being a classic goody two shoes that always tries to do what's right. But over the course of the game he's presented with several difficult situations with no clear right answer, which helps him grow as a character. The Seraphim are also all very interesting characters and it's fun to have them in your party. Sorey's human companions are little more divisive. Alisha unfortunately gets kind of shafted by the story. You only get to control her for a brief part of the early game and she's incapable of armatizing. The DLC gives her a bit more of playtime but it's still a pity that she has such a reduced role in the main story. Rose does have her own charms, but she's somewhat of a flat character. I think that she gets some undeserved hate just because she replaces Alisha, but I do think she's not among the best written characters in the Tales series. I would say that the story is actually one of its stronger points. It also adds a lot to the lore and makes playing Berseria (which is undoubtedly a better game) a more enjoyable experience. The combat is fairly fun and not too complicated. At least as far as doing the main story on lower and medium difficulties go, you don't need to understand the systems in depth in order to make progress. However, if you really want to make your characters strong, then you need to understand the crafting system, how to get the skill combinations that you want, and you also need a good amount of patience to farm the "materials" (weapons and armor with the right skills in the right slots) as it involves RNG and you can only do so much to manipulate drops. It's not necessary to grind at all in order to beat the game, but it's a pity that there's very little difference between one equipment and another in terms of base stats as it often feels like there's no point in upgrading your stuff unless you're actively interacting with the skill system, which can be daunting on a 1st playthrough and it's honestly kind of tough to do without a guide. Lastly, it kind of sucks that the game is locked to 30 fps. Do note, however, that there's a "Tales of Zestiria fix" mod that changes the framerate of the game to 60 fps. I've experienced some issues with it (mostly the fact that occasionally the game crashes), but it's still 100% worth installing. The game feels way better at 60 fps and it's honestly kind of shock that it doesn't have that option without mods. At the end of the day, I would still recommend this game, but keep your expectations in check. I don't think that the game has too many more flaws beyond the ones I mentioned, so if these are things that don't bother you then you're good. If you just like the Tales series in general then I wouldn't recommend skipping this one; I don't think it's bad enough for that. Also, if you've played Berseria or intend on playing Berseria, then I would absolutely recommend Zestiria; these two games have a lot of connections even if they're set 1000 years apart from each other. Otherwise, this game might be a hard sell for some people and I think that's understandable, but at the very least I like the game despite its shortcomings.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 13: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This is by far the worst JRPG i have ever played - combat is mediocre and with terrible control scheme, the story is boring, the world lifeless and vast with the open world needlessly large and the dungeons just being corridors. Leveling makes no sense, grinding feels like a chore, just avoid this game and try out any of the Tales series as Zestiria is by far the worst one.
This game Can't be completed. I am at level 62 and I am stuck in the final boss battle (every party member is at level 62 except for Lailah which is level 57). The Armatized heldalf is using a mysterious arte which can't be avoided. This arte is killing every party member at once. I've looked up on youtube and they says it can only be avoided on Play Station by pressing L1. but what about PC users? So, if you're on a PC, don't waste money on impossible games. It's a bug on PC. (It's been 2 weeks since I am trying to defeat him but everytime heldalf uses that arte and kills all of the seriph, roze, armatized me at only one shot even at full HP)
I just don't like the battle system, you have no option to auto lock on to the closest enemy, and have to hold a button to run around in battle where you want, end up getting hit from the side when trying to take out enemies, it's just an awfully stiff battle system, where other games much older had much nicer flow in their action battle systems
За время проведенное в игре я понял что она офигенная и осталось дожить до конца игры
Love this game
Luckily I bought this on 80% or 90% discount Long story short: Story: lazy, boring, your typical JRPG Characters: I personally don't hate or like any of them. Combat: To be fair... There is an "attempt" to create an in-depth combat system, but it falls apart in reality. Gear & Crafting: You will need RNG God to smile upon you, or you just grind the ♥♥♥♥ out of your mind. Map & dungeon design: The map is large, that's it. Dungeon is a combination of hallway plus room. P.S. It has been awhile that a game makes me feel leveling do bare minimal improvement on the characters since "The 3rd Birthday" a PSP title. Also, this game is capped at 30 FPS, but you can apply a community patch to uncap to 60 FPS, I suppose.
good game
Nota: de 0 a 100. Nota: 70.
