Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

Reviews
yeah i wish this was better. it's cute for the first bit. youll see familiar last names but thats baout it. quality of life is null. feels empty and just a bunch of inconveniences put in for nothing. like take the most annoying aspects of any farming sim and they put it in. Atleast Dreamlight valley is story rich. Disappointing.
A game made for all my cottage core baddies

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I was going to submit for a refund. If you're a mega fan looking for a hit of that sweet lotr, it may be worth the sale price. However, if you want a game then I'd recommend passing or waiting for a big sale. The music is generic and not thematic. The graphics are barely better than a PS2 game, at highest settings. The gameplay mechanics are the most simple and lack luster of the genre. The character creator has less options than wii mii. The dialogue is just reading without even the simplest of mumbles (like some Nintendo style games) or gibberish (like the sims). Overall sloppy, lazy, and easy to ignore... kinda like a Hobbit, now that I think about it. Isn't that... Isn't that odd now? Yet, after all, why not? Why shouldn't I keep it? I'm not trying to rob you... I'm trying to help you.
I purchased it an returned it within 20 minutes. It runs terribly. I mean... it was astonishing how poor the frame rate was. In the first section alone it was regularly dropping to single digits. It was so bad it was giving me a headache and making me nauseous, so I just had to return it. Stylistically, I love what they're going for. The concept is great; living a life in the Shire sounds amazing. The technical state of this game is an absolute mess.
I dont like cooking, in fact hubby does it all for me but in this game I become the cooking queen. I wish cooking in rl was as easy as it is in this game and with no dishes to wash too! There are some charming and original featuresin this game, like the birds doing your pathfinding for you. Thats really handy, especially at the start before you have unlocked all the short cuts. Did love getting the recipes and gifts after hosting the meals and the little hobbit hole was adorable, I wish I could have decorated it with flowers earlier in the game as by the time I unlocked that feature I had already sqeezed the juice (hehe) out of most of the game. Would have loved a few dresses to change into like Delphiniums but other than that lots of clothing options and hairstyles etc. Ill probably play this again at some point and try and level certain key people quicker (wink wink) Overall a really sweet and charming cosy game that I recommend wholeheartedly. ♥ ♥ ♥
This is, no joke, the worst optimized PC game I own on Steam, and I own Deadly Premonition! Look at the stupid simple graphical quality in the screenshots and then imagine it looking even worse and running at ~20FPS on a Steam Deck that can run GTA V at 60 FPS AVOID unless you have an amazing rig, and even then, good luck to you
I bought Tales of the Shire because it looked cute and cozy—very much like an Animal Crossing type of vibe. I was genuinely excited to relax and enjoy the game, but that excitement didn’t last long. Unfortunately, the game lagged a lot, and the characters were constantly glitching. It made the whole experience frustrating instead of enjoyable. What made it even worse was finding out that the game is AI-generated. That was really disappointing, especially since it didn’t feel polished or properly developed. I was so excited to play that I ended up asking for a refund soon after starting. It just didn’t live up to what was advertised. Honestly, platforms like Steam should take more responsibility to ensure this doesn’t keep happening. Allowing poorly made, AI-generated games onto the platform without proper quality checks affects players’ trust. Buyers shouldn’t have to figure out the hard way that a game isn’t what it seems.
