Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.

I purchased it an returned it within 20 minutes. It runs terribly. I mean... it was astonishing how poor the frame rate was. In the first section alone it was regularly dropping to single digits. It was so bad it was giving me a headache and making me nauseous, so I just had to return it. Stylistically, I love what they're going for. The concept is great; living a life in the Shire sounds amazing. The technical state of this game is an absolute mess.
10000/10 BUT here's what I will say. The game is SLOW alright? Kick back, relax and enjoy it. While some might say there is a lot missing from the game, or things that could be different or improved, of course, what game isn't like that? The vibes are immaculate. Its a nice easy, breezy, beautiful game. Go in with expectations that the game will be a 5/10 and I promise you'll have fun and be surprised! Worth every single penny for how many hours I have into the game.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I would love this if it didn't continuously CRASH!!!! I even spoke to to staff at Weta and they couldn't work it out either. Really sad that i can't play this game! So until this is fixed i can't reccomend
yeah i wish this was better. it's cute for the first bit. youll see familiar last names but thats baout it. quality of life is null. feels empty and just a bunch of inconveniences put in for nothing. like take the most annoying aspects of any farming sim and they put it in. Atleast Dreamlight valley is story rich. Disappointing.
For the short time I played, I did enjoy this game but it is so unoptimized that I cannot continue playing it. Having a decent GPU, playing on very low graphics and FPS capped at 60, I can't even go inside a building without it shooting GPU usage to 100%.
I dont like cooking, in fact hubby does it all for me but in this game I become the cooking queen. I wish cooking in rl was as easy as it is in this game and with no dishes to wash too! There are some charming and original featuresin this game, like the birds doing your pathfinding for you. Thats really handy, especially at the start before you have unlocked all the short cuts. Did love getting the recipes and gifts after hosting the meals and the little hobbit hole was adorable, I wish I could have decorated it with flowers earlier in the game as by the time I unlocked that feature I had already sqeezed the juice (hehe) out of most of the game. Would have loved a few dresses to change into like Delphiniums but other than that lots of clothing options and hairstyles etc. Ill probably play this again at some point and try and level certain key people quicker (wink wink) Overall a really sweet and charming cosy game that I recommend wholeheartedly. ♥ ♥ ♥
I was going to submit for a refund. If you're a mega fan looking for a hit of that sweet lotr, it may be worth the sale price. However, if you want a game then I'd recommend passing or waiting for a big sale. The music is generic and not thematic. The graphics are barely better than a PS2 game, at highest settings. The gameplay mechanics are the most simple and lack luster of the genre. The character creator has less options than wii mii. The dialogue is just reading without even the simplest of mumbles (like some Nintendo style games) or gibberish (like the sims). Overall sloppy, lazy, and easy to ignore... kinda like a Hobbit, now that I think about it. Isn't that... Isn't that odd now? Yet, after all, why not? Why shouldn't I keep it? I'm not trying to rob you... I'm trying to help you.
A game made for all my cottage core baddies
I wish Steam had a neutral option, because I'm not favorable enough towards this game to put a positive, nor am I truly negative. Quests vary between mind-numbingly boring to grating, especially the introductory quest, where you're being thrown between different NPCs to do tasks.
Having to deal with so many hobbits to find the rulebook felt very underwhelming, especially when you have to dine so many, and it's revealed the book is in the player's house.
Club tasks are somehow worse, as they increase in complexity and your progress grinds to a halt. Interestingly, most tasks for the Cooking Club do not stack. If you have two quests for making an item with strawberries, only one will check off, and any other attempt will be wasted until you run to the NPC to deliver the quest. Multiple instances the cooking quests refused to check off anything, when another was completed. The quests for higher levels of the cooking club are downright awful for the amount of the club experience you get, such as making 3 star bitter stew, or making a jam I didn't have the recipe for. The inventory is incredibly small, and even having upgrades doesn't feel right when you have incredibly large gardens that you're juggling between putting away and selling to get more seeds to do this all over again. This makes getting to increased levels of reputation in the Foraging Club particularly terrible because now your inventory is cluttered up with different rarities of Pepperwort that refuse to stack. Fish don't stack at all, which means you'll need to be prepared to run back and forth when grinding Fishing Club reputation. Gardening Club is perhaps the best, although suffers from the inventory issues. The days are also way too short, made worse that you walk everywhere. I don't expect these hobbits to run at mach 5, but it can make the days very stressful, especially when I know I needed to get a harvestable on the other side of the map, but it's midday, and I knew I didn't have enough time, but I really needed that item for something I needed to make for the cooking minigame. House designing is fun and cute, until the game's grind slowed to such a halt that I realized grinding up enough coin to buy a dresser was pointless. When I got Willow's reputation to 10, the house was large enough that I kept getting lost in functionless rooms that I felt like had no use for. The grind is what really made me put this as negative. Harvesting 3 Star harvestables is frustrating, especially Foragables. As for the hobbits themselves, most of them I found to be either grating or too generic. Leveling up their Friendship levels doesn't give them alternate dialogue, aside from their Friendship Tales, which can be strange when you're trying to exchange some wood for some nuts from a Level 10 Willow, who still acts like she doesn't know you. [This is especially strange when the wandering NPC Hobbits say that the character is acting differently due to your friendship; This isn't irritating for characters like Rosie, Nora, Delphi, Daisy, Lily, or even Hobson, but for Old Noakes, Sandyman, Willow, and to some extent Nefi, it can be a mood whiplash that makes me feel like I made no progress.] The wandering Hobbits were sometimes irritating, because they would endlessly repeat the same expository information over and over again that didn't make the world feel real. Such as telling me that "I'm up early!" in the middle of the afternoon. The hobbits getting mad when you don't invite them over can be overwhelming when you have one after another complaining, when you're doing another task. Them becoming angry doesn't even impact gameplay much. You simply can't invite them over for a day. It wasn't enough of a punishment for me to actively stop it, unless it was a hobbit I was grinding to Max Friendship. At one point, I had a hobbit
Marigold
that I hadn't even met yet get mad because I hadn't invited her to a meal. Even hobbits you have max relationship with will get mad if you don't invite them. Now, my biggest problem:
The game is extremely finicky when it comes to Five-Star Meals. Even if you have all items in the meal being 3 stars and have pushed the meal into the center of the texture quadrant, it will give you a 4, even if you are exactly repeating a the steps that gave you a 5. This makes the achievement around giving all Hobbits a 5 star meal a nightmare. Neither do the hobbits have a different facial expression when given a 5 star meal, which I found frustrating,
. I forgot another important issue: The game will also give you wrong information about a hobbit's cravings. Their letter saying that they want something sweet, but the in-game menu says sour. Always go with the in-game menu if this happens, which happened constantly at high levels. It's more common to find this than hobbits being clear about what they want deep into the game. This wasn't introduced as a new difficulty mechanic that hobbits change their minds, no, just a random glitch.
