Tales from Candleforth is a folk horror 2D point and click game with puzzles and escape room mechanics, that narrates the fairy tales from the village. The text contained in this ancient and evil book is now bleeding out, mixing the world of nightmares with the real one through handmade 2D graphics.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Jul 30 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Worth buying on sale for a few dollars, probably not worth $12. Besides being short (most of my "play time" is actually from where I dozed off holding my Steamdeck lol), the puzzles are either too easy or too obtuse. I've played several dozen of this type of game, and my biggest pet peeve is puzzles that are solved by randomly clicking inventory items around scenes. If I have to guess, it isn't satisfying to solve. That being said, the art *is* beautiful and the overall concept was intriguing. But the end was abrupt, poorly explained, and left me a bit confused. Did... did I win? Is this what "winning" feels like? Was there a better ending?

パズル的にはとても楽しめました難しかったのは最後の方からです。冷静に考えてみたら分かるので遊んでみるのも良いと思います。ストーリーがちゃんとあるのですが最後がもうちょっと感動できたらと思いました。
Not long, or very hard, but the start is rough and some of the puzzles ask you to remember a long chain of symbols or numbers on one screen before slowly returning to another to input them, so keep your phone camera out. It definitely gets better as it goes on and it's barely longer than the refund window, even if you go for 100% without a guide, so definitely stick with it past the first "two levels" (intro and prologue) and well into the second half of the "third level". I don't know why they decided to have their introduction levels be so slow and annoying, but eventually it becomes less about finding the right thing to interact with like a hidden objects game and more like an actual puzzle game. It can get tedious completing things you already know the answer to, which is a problem in puzzle games, and this one doesn't allow "cheating". No inputting answers to a puzzle if you haven't completed the puzzle that will give you the answer. Again, have your camera out to avoid the long screen transitions as much as possible. There are a couple puzzles that I think were pretty bad, but none of them were hard, just tedious. Some, really tedious. Special shoutout to the alchemy puzzle, that one has like four different possible answers depending on how you read the note, but only one is valid. You need people to playtest things like this, because the developers knew how the note was meant to be read so they probably didn't realise it could be interpreted in different ways that were technically correct. The story is fine enough, though I wouldn't call it particularly interesting or satisfying so I skipped through rather quickly. It's not complicated, and there are some nice unanswered questions for theory crafting, but the fact there's a secret that gets you exactly ZERO pieces of extra lore and literally spoils the ending if you get it first is... sad. The spoiler isn't exactly huge but it's just a waste.
Super grafika, bardzo lubię ten klimat. Łamigłowki dobrze zaprojektowane. Dobra ścieżka dźwiękowa .Fabuła ciekawa, aczkolwiek zakończenie lekko rozczarowujące. Ogólnie polecam.
Boring and the puzzles have often no clue at all to solve them.
