Ps please add All other Take Commands like Gettysburgs, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville.. Thankyou :)
Same control scheme as Scourge of War, I think the AI however is better in Take Command. Atleast for subordinates, I see alot more intelligent moves and experience less frustration when watching AI controlled brigades on the attack. Maybe it's just me though.
very old but ok.
Old game that has been improved greatly
A bit clunky, but ACW fans will enjoy it. Do wish the tutorials were more "idiot proof".
brilliant American civil war game for its day that still holds its own in this day and age long live the the 2nd battle of Manassas aka THE 2ND BATTLE OF BULL RUN.
The game always starts out running fine but after a period as short as 5 minutes and as long as 30 it always starts to freeze up and only run at 1 frame every 5-6 seconds. I've also experienced multiple crashes. I can't seem to find any solutions for this problem but it's mostly unplayable. This game seems really cool, and I really wanted to like it, but I can't recommend it at all with how poorly it runs.
Extremely underrated simulation of the civil war. Looking forward a great deal to the next engine
Fantastic game. I have played Scourge of War Waterloo some and have recently been playing a lot of Grand Tactician:The Civil War, but somehow never noticed this game until very recently. It is exactly the type of game I want and I already know I will spend many hours on it. My only wish is that more battles would be made(Edit: I have now purchased Scourge of war Gettysburg, but still wish all the major battles were on the Take Command System). Controlling different levels of command is such a cool idea. The AI is top notch too especially when considering how old the game is. I played the first level 3 times and the battle played out 3 different ways depending on what I tried. That is when I knew I'd love this game. 10/10 game. Must buy if you are into Civil War Strategy.
