I had a blast with Tactical Breach Wizards. The campaign was great, and it didn’t overstay its welcome. The tactical gameplay was sharp and engaging, and I found the learning curve to be gradual with no sudden spikes. Unlike some titles that drift into puzzle territory, this one stayed on the tactics side, which kept me hooked. What really surprised me, though, was the writing. I didn’t expect much of a plot, but the story turned out to be clever, funny, and genuinely enjoyable. Combined with the solid gameplay, it made the whole experience far more engaging than I anticipated. The low-poly art style took a little time to grow on me, and while I did notice occasional framerate drops on my older laptop—e.g., even on a menu screen with nothing but a character’s idle animations—it never detracted from the fun. Overall, I highly recommend the game to anyone who enjoys tactical strategy games with a bit of wit and charm.
dude, this game is so funny. the writing is incredible. the gameplay is incredible too. just buy it if you like tactical (kinda) rpg(-ish).
Enjoyable tactical combat puzzles. Fun dialogue. Knock-off Shadowrun with heart. Five stars.
Fun
This is an absolute banger of a game. It's one of those games that makes you feel clever as you pass each test, and go back and redo just this little thing to finish it in an even more satisfying manner. Great story, the humor is excellent, the art is great, but what really carries it is the gameplay. There is only one thing I wish for: Narration in the sequel. Which I desperately wants nowish (o:
One of the few games that is absolutely worth the hype. Must play. Who knew a puzzle game could be this fun!
This game is amazing. I thought it'd be similar to XCOM, but it's more like a puzzle game with tactics elements. The game is extremely well written and genuinely funny. The story is interesting enough, but nothing out of this world. All in all, I really enjoyed my time playing this, highly recommend.
Decent little game. I did like it enough to finish it but it wasn't the masterpiece some reviews here led me to believe. The writing was just okay, this is no Disco Elysium. It does derserve a thumbs up, because it's fun and easy and well made. Like a snack.
Man, What an Incredible game. I don't really want to spoil anything but god this has some of the tightest gameplay I have ever seen. this game will make you feel like a David going agaist Goliaths at first, but as you figure out how the game works and all of the little tricks it has, you become a nigh-unstoppable god eradicating rooms of enemies in a single turn. The story isn't overly complex, but suits the game really well and I honsetly had no complaints. All of the characters are also really fun and the game gives you a good feel for all of them, even the ones you get introduced to quite late. this leads to the best non-gameplay aspect of the game. it's humor. it has very few laugh out loud moments, but god if the constant jokes of the game didn't keep a smile glued to my face. moving onto slightly more technical stuff: the game runs well on a middle of the road pc and I didn't encounter any bugs in the close to 30 hours it took me to 100% this game. The UI is sadly not the cleanest and the game doesn't let you make inputs during certain animations, which can make the game feel slightly sluggish. Overall, I have no further complaints and would Highly HIGHLY reccomend this game to anybody that enjoys strategy games, even if they aren't that hard. 10/10!!
