Dropped the game. Made it though the first two sections of the game. The story is great and the characters even better but the gameplay leaves something to be desired. It is more of a puzzle game than a turn based tactics game like Xcom 2.
Makes me want to read everything, good dialogue. Gameplay is decent so far
I have nothing but good things to say about this game. The strategy has a lot of depth and incentivizes you to get creative with different character's abilities. Levels are really well designed. I especially enjoyed the final level. The story is also great. The game manages to tell a really compelling and serious story even with the somewhat absurd concept. The dialogue is great and often very funny. Each character is super interesting and I loved learning all of their backstories. Would highly recommend for anyone.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 21: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

An incredibly enjoyable game with an interesting story and great game play mechanics. You can knock the main story out in about 15 hours with much side content available for those looking to challenge themselves.
It's a great game. If you're a fan of X-Com/XCOM, especially "X-Com: Chimera Squad" you'll enjoy the room breaching tactical gameplay here. I found the dialogue funny, but some people (there's a long-running thread about it on the Steam forums) don't like it. Your mileage may very, but it's Whedon-esque quips that have become derisively known as "Millennial Writing." There is (was?) a demo, so I'd suggest checking that out to see if the writing is hit or miss with you before buying. You can skip ALL levels (yes, even the final battle) if you just want to go through the story mode, but you miss certain dialogue interjections during battle. You can customize the experience to be as hard or as easy as you want. The developers probably made it TOO open since the skipping/difficulty settings means you can blow through the game pretty fast if you don't do the combat "as intended." My only gripes are: 1) Confidence Objectives sometimes aren't properly described (one of Dall's being "clear all Ammo Dumps within One Turn" where apparently you only have to hit ONE in that turn) and 2) perk selections can't be changed during breaches you allow you to test and try builds during battles to make said Confidences easier to obtain. If you're in the story mode, once you start the first area, you're locked into your build. Which seems to fly in the face of the "explore your way" description the game sells itself as. It's a minor issue since the game can easily be broken if you read a build guide on perk choices. Which leads to 3) after beating the game, you aren't able to pick ALL perks and thus start to go wild on all the missions. I get why (it's a tactical game, stupid!) but it kind of is annoying you'll probably never pick 3–4 perks per character because the others allow "infinites" to happen. I think a sequel that rounds out some of the rough edges (my complaints) would be real good and fun. The concept is solid and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I might buy the developer commentary to go through, since apparently you're able to actually USE that in-game in a weird twist on the concept. Well, well, well worth playing! Good job to Suspicious Developments! (Runs fine on the Steam Deck, before I forget. BUT it chews battery like no business. I didn't bother trying to limit the TDP, but it'll run for like 45mins to 1 hour on defaults. I switched to my Linux Desktop PC to eventually finish the story mode. But it works out-of-box on both for Linux, so highly recommended for anyone on Linux)
Solid tactical puzzle-like gameplay with a cheeky comedic motif that also acts to explain some basic elements of the mechanics, such as having more than one try or why you can see the enemy's movement telegraphed. Doesn't take itself seriously at all, to an eyerolling detriment at times, but it did make me laugh a few times as well. Gameplay is fluid and punchy, responsive, and importantly for this kind of game: resets quickly.
Honestly this is a criminally underrated game. The gameplay is incredibly satisfying and never get boring. But the true genius of the game is the writing. This is SO FUN. I laughed hard playing this because some dialogs are just excellent. The story is damn well-written. Whoever wrote this must be the funniest guy in every room. I'm not even a turn-based combat fan, but this game is one of the best I played. Buy this. (Playtime is bugged, I'm around 35H)
I played the demo when it came out, and couldn't wait for the full game! I did end up waiting for a while after the game came out, but after just beating it, WOW.
Great game!!!
