SynthVR

If you are a fan of music and spaghetti/microwaves this is the game for you. Really you can lose yourself exploring what rhythms, sounds and sequences your mind can come up with. Furthermore, and being forthcoming, I'm not anywhere near knowledgeable about modular synths, heck I just learned about them through this game. Nevertheless There are loads of talented individuals out there making insane patches (Modulus wired together to make music.. or microwave sounds in my case) who's work you can see through the game directly. Couldn't suggest it enough well worth my time and money.

I'm here for the knobs.

An amazing introduction to modular synthesisers. Great fun if you want to explore sounds and learn a bit about synthesizers. Not a huge set of options when it comes to modules, but enough to get creative and make patches with.

I dont know how to make anything that actually sounds good but this is fun and relaxing

[h1]「タンス」が6畳間に置ける喜び！[/h1] YMOなどのテクノユニットのコンサートで、何やらコードやツマミだらけの大きな機械を見たことはないでしょうか？ それが「モジュラーシンセ」と呼ばれる電子楽器の一種で、SynthVRはこれをVR空間上で再現したソフトです。 普通のシンセサイザーよりも音作りの自由度が圧倒的に高く、電子音楽に興味のある人にとってはまさに"憧れ"というべきものでしょう。 しかし憧れはあくまで憧れ。実物のモジュラーシンセを揃えようとすれば軽く数十万円はかかりますし、置き場所を確保するのもなかなか難しい。正直、趣味で手を出すにはなかなか敷居が高いものでもあります。 SynthVRはこの「値段」と「場所」の両方を一挙に解決してくれる画期的なソフトです！ VR機器さえあれば数千円で遊べますし、バーチャル空間なのでラックもモジュールも好きなだけ置き放題。 モジュラーシンセを再現したソフト自体は過去にもいくつかありましたが、2Dの画面上では何がどう繋がっているか把握しづらかったりして、あまり使い勝手の良いものではありませんでした。 SynthVRならケーブルを繋ぎたければ端子から引っ張り出せばいいですし、ツマミを回したければツマミを握って手をひねればいい。 本当に目の前にシンセがあるかのように操作できるので、VRの利点を最大限に活かせていると思います。 [h1]シンセサイザー入門者の教材として使えるかも[/h1] モジュラーシンセといえば「ある程度シンセサイザーのことがわかっている人が使うもの」というのが普通の認識かもしれませんが、個人的にはむしろ「これからシンセサイザーの仕組みを理解したい」という入門者にこそオススメしたいです。（SynthVRはお手頃価格なのでなおのこと！） いま主流となっているデジタルシンセも根本的な仕組みは同じですし、少し複雑な音作りをしようと思うとリングモジュレーション等の"モジュラーシンセ的な考え方"が求められます。 よって、逆にいうとモジュラーシンセを理解しておけば概ねどんなシンセでもある程度触れるようになるということです。 (英語ではありますが)簡単なチュートリアルも用意されていますし、パッチ共有機能もあるので「こんな音の作り方があるのか！」と新たな発見をすることもできるでしょう。

half recommend, half don't. SynthVR is a very cool piece of software and would be worth 25 dollars... if it weren't abandoned. the chance of it getting new modules or bug fixes is slim to none, and it's a damn shame - had so much potential

Its just confusing and hard, there is no real clear instructions and at this stage for people who just try to have fun completly to much. I´ve had problems with everything but i have to admit being able to change your layout and parts is super useful and fun But this game is not for beginners like me and i hope they will add easier instructions on how to use things like :´´plug it in here to make that sound´´ or ´´push this button to start´´. Y´know something that gives just clearity Although the Community already made alot of posts/videos regardíng newcommers and helping them, this is still an issue which bugs me. besides that amazingly done, real good job mate

this is absolutely AMAZING, exactly what i always wanted to build, executed perfectly, thank you! PLEASE, keep adding more audio generators, effects, and please consider adding multiplayer. that would be absolutely amazing! and thank you for creating this fantastic instrument.
