SynthVR

They're never gonna update it. It was cool but I don't recommend getting it.

This is great music creation tool for those who are interested in experiencing modular synths but don't have the cash to shell out to buy actual synth modules. That being said there are some caveats when it comes to SynthVR that come blatantly obvious once you spend considerable amount time within this music play space. Pros: - It is incredible just how versatile in the sounds and patterns your able to produce with the modules that are provided. - you can just get lost in this music space for hours and lose track of time. - learning a new configuration is very satisfying and makes you want to delve deeper in self discovery. - moving modules and linking cables in Vr is very a intimate and tactile experience. Cons: -There are plenty of ease of life additions that would make it a more enjoyable to learn and understand how everything works within SynthVR and additionally make discovering patterns more rewarding and exciting such as being able to save groups of modules together with cables and settings intact and import them into your current session to use for later. This would speed up creativity and you'd be able use what you've learned in the past and build upon it since I find myself making the same groups of modules over and over which gets tedious after awhile. - Being able to COPY and PASTE selected module groups so you can duplicate them and create more complex synth patterns. - Having a wider selection of cable colors for organizing and visual way finding helping you differentiate the flow and hierarchy of cables from module to module. - Being able to change the color of the modules allowing you to color sections of the composition. Have locomotion settings since teleporting is jarring, id rather use the joystick to move around. - It also would be nice if the number of the current discovered session stayed visible somewhere because after it shows up it disappears and then oops you forgot the number. - Having the name of the particular connector show up when you highlight it since looking back into the menu to find what it is becomes tedious. - Having a wireless cable to make connections neat and tidy. SynthVr is fun but these are just a few ease of life game mechanics that would bring SynthVR into a whole other level. all in all its worth checking out and Im excited to see where Synthvr goes next
