Cool cooperative Roguelike. Very fun to play with a friend :) I got told it is very similar to Hades, but with multiplayer. The build options during a run don't change the game too drastically and it is fun to try out different playstyles. Only downside here is that some builds are WAY stronger than others
(*cough* Gogmagog stagger *cough*)
. Makes experimentation feel not too worthwhile once you have a found some of those. The different enemies and bosses are fun. Maybe a few more boss variations would have been nice. Don't expect anything storywise.
There is no conclusion in the end. After beating the true ending at any difficulty Merlin suggests that you should increase the difficulty. But there is nothing more after that, beating it on the highest difficulty does not make any difference. Felt a bit betrayed there :,)
Some annoyances: - Enemy behavior is sometimes unpredictable. For example, they might charge an attack facing to the right but still attack to the left. - No way to reconnect mid-run, if you left for any reason. Quite a huge inconvenience. Overall a solid and fun game, with some issues. :) 3/5
In about 4 hours of co-op playtime, I beat the Squire difficulty with my friend. Overall I had a good experience and want to play more. Sworn sort of feels like a lighter, quicker Hades - an obvious comparison that one cannot ignore. I'd say that a lot of the ideas used in Hades are well...borrowed, as such the game definitely has a similar feel. There's the one huge benefit that stands out though - the aforementioned Co-op. Playing a game with a friend is a way to elevate the fun levels by potentially ridiculous amounts, and it's no exception in Sworn. If I had to say, I do not think that I would have bought the game without it having a co-op tag. Don't get me wrong - the game is fun, and I'd have enjoyed it singleplayer too if I gave it a good enough try, but I doubt that I would have made the initial purchase. The price was good on a sale too - I don't think I'd pay the full price at all, but getting it for more than half off felt like a great deal. It plays quite smooth, the Co-op is seamless and the flow of the game is quite quick with most of the upgrades, but expansive enough that you definitely feel its effects. Most importantly, I was initially turned away due to comments talking about netcode problems in co-op - disconnects, data loss, e.t.c. I've experienced none of that and it has been entirely smooth sailing. I hope that may assuage any worries. I can't speak for everyone, of course, but me and my friend had a fine time. We're both Canadian and played on the North American servers, so that may play a part. Overall I definitely recommend Sworn, though with the caveats that the price is a bit high and if you go into it with a friend, like anything else is, it'll be a lot more fun. It's Co-op Hades-lite.
Recommend At first i thought it was just a Hades knock off, but it is actually a good and fun knock off The first run is kinda mid, but they have different classes and weapons that change the game and are very fun to try out. As soon as you start unlocking weapons, spells and classes the game opens up a lot The SFX, VFX, art and animation are all very good Overall lots of fun
esta bueno el juego pa
The game is fine and very enjoyable and is worth its money, Its fun And I have played all difficulties with my friend up to sovereign, I don't understand what people are talking about when it comes to connectivity but me and my friends haven't Disconnected ONCE. A Lot of variety when it comes to builds and a 4 weapons, spells and you have 4 characters to try their varieties. The game is very enjoyable And I would recommend it to people who like Roguelike/Roguelite DO NOT BE SCARED OF CRASHING MULTIPLAYER I HAVE PLAYED THIS GAME FOR 25 HOURS AND HAVE NOT DISCONNECTED OR CRASHED ONCE
there is a bug there is one of the boss attacks glitches you out so that you cant move/dodge or attack basically stunned locked getting your ass beat to death. and this game used to be so fun when the game first released but after coming back to this game to play it again i just find rage inducing constant attacks so that no matter where you dodge you always get hit and their is no point in increasing max hp since you are very unlikely to have full hp at any boss fight I'm sorry for leaving a bad review but at this point of time compared to when it first released i consider this ♥♥♥♥.
bom jogo
The game disconnects in multiplayer without offering the possibility to rejoin the ongoing match. This has happened twice while writing this review, absolutely intolerable.
