Call of Juarez

Stary klasyk, który mimo upływu lat nadal ma swój niepowtarzalny klimat. Świetna atmosfera Dzikiego Zachodu, dobra historia i dwóch różnych bohaterów sprawiają, że zdecydowanie warto wrócić do Call of Juarez po latach. Oczywiście pod względem grafiki i niektórych mechanik czuć już wiek gry, dlatego aż szkoda, że do tej pory nie doczekaliśmy się porządnego remastera. Chętnie zobaczyłbym ten klasyk w odświeżonej oprawie. Nadal warto zagrać, a fanom starszych FPS-ów zdecydowanie polecam.

He leído las reseñas de steam de otros usuarios criticando el juego diciendo "el paso del tiempo le ha hecho mal" pero vamos, ¿estás advirtiendo que es un juego del 2006?, sea cual sea el caso el juego se ve genial la mayor parte del tiempo, y respecto a los comandos todo se puede solucionar entrando a opciones y adaptarlo a tus comodidades en el teclado/mouse, si no tiene soporte para 4k, conecta el equipo a un monitor 1080p. A mí me funciono y el juego no me presento ningún problema. Estamos ante un fps del lejano oeste, pero distinto, distinto me refiero a que mezcla dos estilos de juegos diferentes con una historia que se cuenta desde dos perspectivas distintas y es la historia la que te motiva para seguir jugando. Corre el año 1884 y nos ponen en la piel de Billy candle, un chico con descendencia mexicana que es perseguido por la justicia por su color de piel y que regresa a su ciudad natal para visitar a su madre tras el fallido intento de encontrar el oro de Juárez, solo para encontrar la granja ardiendo y sus padres asesinados bajo un lema escrito en sangre que dice "la llamada de Juárez". Ahora entra nuestro segundo protagonista que acompaña a la historia de Billy, el reverendo Ray McCall - hermano de Thomas- padrastro de Billy. Un vaquero adicto a las armas en su vida pasada y que se ha vuelto un ferviente creyente de Dios, este es informado que en la granja de su hermano se escuchaban gritos y estaba ardiendo en llamas, cuando llega al lugar encuentra a Billy huyendo de la escena, asumiendo erróneamente de que Billy es el asesino. Acá comienza la historia de Ray de venganza con el único objetivo de volarle la cabeza a Billy, el típico vaquero: disparo primero y pregunto después. Así comienza la historia del juego en donde vamos a ir cambiando de protagonista a otro, con Billy huyendo, infiltrándose en pueblos, minas, granjas e intentando llegar a México y con Ray intentando volarle la cabeza. Iremos intercambiando entre personajes dejando para Billy las misiones de sigilo y las misiones con más acción de tiros para Ray, las misiones de sigilo están bien, aunque no comparto las escenas de plataforma, dispondremos de un arco con flechas y un látigo para acceder a plataformas más elevadas incluso el látigo se puede usar como arma contra animales, y un variado de escopetas, rifles y revolver para Ray, además de portar dos revólveres, usar el modo rápido con un solo revolver, patear puertas, montar caballos, también incluye un modo concentración onda max payne bulley time para darle a varios enemigos a la vez, un modo duelo contra jefes, que podría ser mejorado, ya que es medio tosco el movimiento con el mouse, nuestros protagonistas tampoco son robots, el juego utiliza un sistema de salud a lo vieja escuela en donde tendrás que buscar unas botellas de whisky para poder rellenar la salud al 100%. Steam da la opción de arranque con DirectX 9 o 10, este último de la versión remasterizada para una mejor visualización y mejoras gráficas dando así un entorno exterior natural más vivo con hierbas elevadas y zonas desérticas. El juego es lineal, aunque se puede interactuar con algunos objetos, hay persecuciones a caballo que son muy cinematográficas, la música es variada y cambia según la situación, no es música western, pero tampoco es hip hop con reguetón cag,andose en la ambientación como suelen hacer actualmente en juegos y películas de historia. Existen un total de 40 coleccionables, pero al no tener logros en Steam no te motiva a explorar.

This is just such a wonderful game! Not only for the nostalgia for those of us who played it originally, but also just as a great story, with very fun and varied gameplay! Highly recommend it. For new players, a couple quick notes: there's some easy resolution and band fixes you can apply, and be also warned that you may need to run the game from the CoJ.exe directly for an infamous cave section. Super easy and there's info on steam if you search for them! Again highly recommend and great storytelling!

"I bring not peace but a sword" In barren wasteland that is western based games a small polish studio set out to make an ambitious adventure. One where you play as both the hunter Reberend Ray, a priest with a violent past on a quest of vengeance and revenge for his brother's death. And the hunted Billy Candle, an ostracized coward who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The game alternates in between characters after ever chapter or so, with a first person monologue to set the stage. The gameplay consists of mostly linear levels with grandiose vistas of canyons, valleys and creeks. With plenty a' cowboys and apaches to be shot by, and boy do these enemies have their sights zero'd properly as sometimes you peak out of cover just to get immediately remington'd back to your last save (on hard at least). No setpiece, sequence nor engagement overstays its welcome as the pacing threads forward with the urgency the story requires. It does try to break the core gameplay with some basic stealth sections, some fistfights and even some sprawling sections on horseback. Sadly for all its ambition, it falls short as the heavy focus on narrative, unskippable cutscenes/dialogues drags the game down specially on Billy's missions as when he is not crawling through bushes or platforming with his whip, he is whinning and moaning. On the other hand Reverend Ray absolutely steals the show with well written dialogue, great character arc and a stellar performance by Marc Alaimo. Overall Call of Juarez delivers a solid and fun albeit a little clunky western fps.

Увы слишком душно и устаревше играется в 2026 Но лайк классике всё таки поставлю. Видно как поляки запарились над визуалом, ибо он и сейчас выглядит не дурно. Но играть в это больно если не играл в своё время) Увы, рефанд. Игре нужен ремейк/ребут. Ремастером это не спасти уже) Вроде как сейчас делается новая часть в серии и я надеюсь это он и есть.

Game would be actually great and the story was awesome however duel mechanic on which story and game relies on heavily is very bugged and it is infuriating and enraging to the point that I've didn't bother finish the final scene (I'm not mentioning contents of the scene for spoiler reasons). I know it is and old game, and if I played it in my childhood most likely it would have been a great game however because of duel mechanic I cannot recomment this game. Story is awesome, classical 2000's action packed movie, game itself is fun but there are points at which game fails to deliver.

good story, decent gameplay given its age, but ♥♥♥♥ the platforming in this game.
