Абсолютно бестолковая программа - мало того, что работать в ней неудобно, так она еще и не обновлялась больше года (до сих пор Alpha +10a). Для рисования лучше использовать что-нибудь нормальное, вроде Pro Motion NG или Aseprite.

I used DPaint back in the day and while this program feels familiar, by present day standards it is not so user-friendly and I found it difficult to find some of the listed features. For one, the program quits out without asking or saving when pressing the windows close button - which is unhelpfully just above a save button. Also, there's only one level of undo, which might be as it was back in the day, but in 2016 we have got used to more. I can't figure how to save as different formats, or why export uses gif, but save uses png. It would help if there was a manual as the Features list suggest, but I can find no manual or help file, only the shortcut keys. It's still very nice to use, and for that I will keep this as "recommended", but I hope it improves on the issues raised above.

我原本打算利用这款软件制作矢量图。 但目前问题很大，非常大。 要说用来做游戏的动态矢量图是很不方便的。 所以我给总结一下缺点， - 打开文件或项目很不方便，保存时总是给图片文件加进些不应有的隐藏内容：如往PNG文件里放入默认不可见的图层和帧数（疑似）。 - 图像总是带有奇怪的光效，要手动跳转到properties里面设置bloom项到0，才会还原原色。 - 动态图没有播放预览，或者说不知道在哪。 - 没有色板外的取色器（或没找到）。 优点也有， + 工具栏面板很好看 + 作为一个设计软件来说，我喜欢它的简洁的框架（尽管现在不是很易懂） 综合意见， 现在完全不行，清晰度太差了。 如果作为游戏的辅助工具会很头疼，打乱思绪。 暂时不建议使用，但是看到的各位可以留意一下。 “万一出中文了呢?”

I didn't use DPaint at all so, for me, trying this one at first was kinda strange but, once you get used to shortcuts and the tools, it's actually a quite productive single-palette-type pixelart app! What sold this app to me were, at first, the fact that this is a multi-platform application and the escher and bloom filters, which are really sweet, but this app packs way more into it besides'em. While, if you come from aps with a photoshop-like workflow (like Aseprite or PyxelEdit) it may look a bit strange and not intuitive at first, once you get used to the controls (which is quite fast) work starts to happen quite fast. The app structure also allows you to focus on the drawing, since you don't have too many dialogs, tabs and detachables on screen, besides the menu and tools. The developer's also really nice, open to comments/criticism and commited to making it better and stable too! :)

Really interesting pixel pushing application. Dev is steadily working away on it. Its very different from what some people may expect though. Its based on an old Pixel pushing app. I wasnt sure at first but the more i play with it the more i love it. Plus its super light weight. you literally can run this on a raspberry pie lol. compare that to something like Aseprite, which runs like crap on my old laptop, while this is butteery smooth.

This little painting app deserves some more love. It's a few years old, but check it out. It works really well and is one of the few options you have out there to create art that resemble something made for certain older systems like the C64.
