Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.33/day in the week to Aug 4 → 2.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

First got this game free for gold on the xbox 360 back in the day. I fell in love with it as soon as I experienced this masterpiece. I have very little complaints about this game because it's been one of those beacons of light for me. I just hope I am not alone in this passion.
Absolutely Terrible in comparison to its predecessors. Absolutely wasted 15 hours just trying to come to terms with the changes and cannot do it! Back to Forged alliance for me!

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 8: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

It's an OK RTS. It is NOT an OK sequel to Supreme Commander. Gameplay, Visuals, and Vision are all a step down from forged alliance. Additionally, core features have been striped away making this installment much more generic. It's the same story as Dungeon Siege III(Also made by GPG post SE acquisition). A great IP used only to imitate a more popular game in the same genera.
I played SupCom2 when I was 13. I thought it was a decent game. The experimental design looked cool. Ten years later a friend of mine invited me to play SupCom1 with his friends and said it was better than SupCom2. I didnt believe him, until I tried SupCom1 and its just on a different level. SupCom2 to SupCom1 is what Flatout 3 is to Flatout 2. Playing on SupCom2 Seton's clutch was the sadest gaming experience I had this year. Felt like I was playing duplo after playing with Lego. Everything is simplified and dumbed down.
Everything we loved and liked about supreme commander 1 is simply not there. I've picked up the game for few bucks hoping to play a nice campaign, like the original SupCom / FA campaign and instead I was teleported in a ocean of cringe. Very uninteresting character Air units completely out of any attempt of balance (if you don't have 3x fighters you can't stop any gunship assault) Different building methods Less synergies, less assist functionalities. Very small maps Uninspired unit design Spare yourself the hassle
Entire game play loop basically consist of ==> rush experimental units ==> spam experimental units ==> out experimental your enemy ==> win / loose game, very lazy game play loop unlike forged alliance
Supreme Commander 2 is a real-time strategy game developed by Gas Powered Games and released in 2010. As the sequel to the acclaimed Supreme Commander, it aimed to refine and streamline the series' complex mechanics for a broader audience. While it succeeds in making the game more accessible, it also introduces changes that have sparked debate among fans of the original. The most notable shift in Supreme Commander 2 is its simplified gameplay mechanics. The unit cap has been reduced from 1,000 to 500, and the vast, sprawling maps of its predecessor have been replaced with smaller, more manageable arenas. This change was designed to reduce the length of matches and make the game more approachable for newcomers. However, many long-time fans felt that these adjustments diluted the strategic depth that made the original game so compelling. The removal of tiered unit progression and the introduction of a research system, where upgrades are applied directly to units, further streamlined the gameplay but at the cost of some of the series' signature complexity. Visually, Supreme Commander 2 adopts a more stylized art direction compared to the first game. The environments are detailed, and the game runs smoothly even during large-scale battles. However, some players have noted that the graphics, while functional, lack the polish of the original. The character models and animations are less detailed, and the overall aesthetic feels more cartoonish, which contrasts with the serious tone of the game's narrative. The single-player campaign follows three commanders from different factions—United Earth Federation (UEF), Cybran Nation, and Illuminate—as they navigate a galaxy on the brink of war. The story is more character-driven than its predecessor, focusing on personal motivations and political intrigue. While this approach adds depth to the narrative, some players felt that it lacked the grand scale and epic storytelling of the original game. In terms of multiplayer, Supreme Commander 2 offers both skirmish modes and online play. The matchmaking system is straightforward, and the game supports up to four players in co-op missions. However, the online community has dwindled over the years, making it challenging to find matches. Additionally, the game's netcode has been criticized for occasional lag and connection issues, which can detract from the multiplayer experience. Overall, Supreme Commander 2 is a competent real-time strategy game that offers a more accessible entry point for newcomers to the genre. While it introduces several changes that streamline gameplay and improve performance, it also loses some of the complexity and depth that made the original game a standout title. Fans of the first Supreme Commander may find the sequel lacking in certain areas, but for those seeking a more approachable strategy game, Supreme Commander 2 provides an enjoyable experience. Rating: 9/10
My first experience on this game was when XBOX 360 Live Gold still had these free monthly/weekly games. I picked SC2 up on there and I was hooked! I had played C&C Generals before so I was familiar with RTS games but this hit the spot for me. Not too long after that my XBOX sadly died (the infamous red ring of death) and I didn't have a lot of money so I kinda left most of my games like that. Hard times. All grown up, I bought it a couple years ago on Steam. Surprised to say it didn't disappoint. It's keeping up nicely with newer RTS games even tho they don't release updates anymore and I still love to boot up the occasional match and kick some Bot ass. They have a nice campaign and there's a ton of mods if you're into that, also surprisingly there's still some multiplayer matches going around I hear. Overall I recommend but maybe that's just the ape brain talking, craving to make battle with little things on a 2D battlefield. Good luck Commander!
Beating a dead horse at this point but this game is nothing short of a complete vandalization of the franchise. From the cringe writing of the campaign to the complete removal the original of SupCom/ Total Annihilation style RTS and replacing it with something more akin to Command and Conquer or Starcraft. Good games in their own right, but not SupCom.
