A 2D platformer that focuses on tight movement, careful exploration and going fast! Every level has been meticulously crafted to make exploring and speeding as fun as possible with many deep level mechanics. It might not look like much but this hard yet fair platformer feels like no other.

While there are a lot of precision platformers out there, only a rare few are built as well as this. Super Lumi Live knows exactly what it wants to be, and executes on that idea perfectly. When playing through the game for basic completion, it kept finding new ways to pleasantly surprise me - new mechanics were continually introduced at the perfect rate to keep things fresh without getting too overwhelming. A smooth difficulty ramp gave me all the challenges I wanted while encouraging me to keep improving. After getting basic completion, I started a second loop to try for some of the higher-tier time trial awards. This is where the masterwork of the level design really became clear. When executing everything at maximum speed, every moving element was impeccably tuned to give me a very specific challenge - many otherwise unassuming-looking setups would line up into an exquisite obstacle course full of close shaves I had to navigate if I wanted that shiny gold medal (or something better). The way everything handles, how quick restarts are, and the jamming soundtrack are great at putting me into that perfect flow state. If I didn't want to go for speed, there would be a lot of other bonus content to dig into too. I could play each level carefully for the Perfect Ace badge that comes from collecting everything in one run without dying. I could try to puzzle out some of the achievements that require unusual feats of gameplay to earn. A huge amount of gameplay is packed in here. I play a lot of platformers and have high standards for them, and this game has absolutely earned itself a spot in my top 10. It's truly one of the best of its kind.
Great controls, excellent variety, interesting levels, what's not to love? This game is very difficult though - play on assist mode unless you are very well versed in difficult platformers such as IWBTG fangames. Controls are simple, but very precise. Each level feels different from each other and brings something new to the game, which is something I wish were more common in games in general. **Edit** As of the last update, the game has been reworked to remove the difficulty spikes without needing to have an "assist" mode. It is now an A+ speedrunning experience. If you enjoy speedrunning platformers, GET THIS GAME NOW!
Can you Say Rage QUITS, I know I have!!!!! This game reminds me so much Supermario Bros and Super Meatboy mashed into one, of course without the blood and guts. But I can promise you this, it will challenge you on all aspects of playing video games. ToTAL THUMBS UP! Check it out today.
If you are looking for a challenge, this game will be it. In the first level you are taught the basic mechanics of the game. It is fairly simple to learn, you can run and you can double jump. The game really shines in it's unique use of game elements that are introduced each level and when you progress to other world areas. As each level goes by the game gets harder and harder. I have died 100+ times on some levels if feels like, but the great thing is when you die, you restart at your last checkpoint with a click of a button. Their are also collectable gold coins and silver coins to get in each level and you will need these to progress to pay tolls here and there. The silver coins are fairly easy to get but the gold ones are challenging, extending the game a lot. Lastly you have speed challenges where you can speed run to try to get 3 stars, but fyi again very difficult to get these as well. If you are a completionist or you like games with a challenge, this is the game for you. Good luck and have fun!!!
Really fun platformer, very clean movement.
I kept meaning to leave a review for this months ago. Amazing game. Tight controls, smooth platforming. Levels with moving platforms nearly always have tricks that let you skip part of them. The developer had always been responsive on the community forums and any time i'd noticed an issue or given feedback i'd notice it being changed/fixed by the next patch. Levels are themed around a particular mechanic which is often only seen in that level up until the final world. Giving a huge variety where no one mechanic ever outstays its welcome. Secret collectibles are hidden throughout and i had a lot of fun tracking them down. These usually are gold tokens which you can tell approximately where in the level these are from which one is missing. if token 2 and 3 are found, then there is no need to search past where you found the second whilst searching for the first. In its current state the game lends itself greatly towards all playstyles, casual, completionist and speedrunning, for a speed completion you need to grab a certain number of silver tokens in order to access the final encounter, I believe the requirement was something like 400? Of which there are 20 in each level. The gold tokens unlock side-levels or allow you to take a different path, playing alternate/additional levels that might let you skip levels on the default path. I'd really love if the game could get more recognition from speedrunners or people in general as the game is an exceptional platformer!
This is a fantastic speedrun platformer. If you're looking for innovation, I'd advise turning your attention elsewhere, but if you want pure quality, you can't go wrong with Super Lumi Live. A truly remarkable amount of care was put into making sure the fastest way to proceed is also a sensible way to proceed--though it won't necessarily be an easy one. Only has one level I'd call a real stinker, and most of the rest is top notch. Quite well priced for the amount of content as well!
Really well made and very polished platformer, with plenty of content and challenge. The graphics are simple but nicely done, and the game flows well. Overall, I feel this game deserves more attention - give it a shot if you enjoy challenging platformers.
