great game the hospital part is super tedious and boring and the endgame becomes kinda a slog but I think the gameplay makes up for it
I overall enjoyed Sunset Overdrive quite a lot. I think it has some minor problems with enemy encounters being more numerous or having more ability beyond the capabilities of the character you control. I might have missed something, but there were times where even though you appear to be highly mobile, your animations actually lock you down and cannot be cancelled into other actions, like shooting. To say this a different way, a lot of your evasive moves lock you into an animation that cannot be cancelled. This isn’t a problem necessarily, because encounters can be based around your limitations. But it appeared that not long into the game, the amount of enemies, and their moves, puts an amount of pressure on you that your animations lock you down from dealing with. For example, a common special enemy attack is to put mines on the track you are grinding on. You can very quickly reverse direction, but while you are quickly moving in the opposite direction, you actually cannot do another action, like shoot, for about 2 seconds as you do all these cool flips. If there was only one enemy doing this then this would be fine, but you are often surrounded by tons of enemies. You might end your animation quickly enough to avoid the next attack, but your next animation also takes 2 seconds, and you once again are not shooting during this time. There were often times where I am just watching myself during cool flips and wishing I could shoot during them, because I am only surviving, not actually winning. Sometimes your animations were actually too long and you would get hit by the next attack you could see coming but were unable to do anything about because you were being cool flipping around. This situation wasn’t necessarily a constant thing that happened at all times during every encounter. It was more something you would drift in an out of, due to the random nature of enemy positions and attacks. Sometimes there were gaps in enemy attacks or position that allowed you to attack a lot. Other times you kind of got smashed as you watched yourself doing cool flips instead of shooting or doing the next dodge. This feeling got worse as the game went on, because the difficulty increase just seemed to make clear the limitations your animations give you. I barely died during the game, but I feel like that was because I used the many health regen buffs. They basically made you invincible. I think I would have died a lot without them. I didn’t feel cheap for having them on because I felt limited by animations from dealing with threats. Because of this the game wasn’t too frustrating because I did get through everything without really dying. But I would have quit the game a lot earlier if I was being punished for these issues by having to redo sections. The gameplay is pretty fun when you are just moving around the environment without really fighting. The fighting is somewhat fun, but it depends a bit on how surrounded you are. You can use regen buffs to cover the times when you get overwhelmed and are unable to do anything about it. The story was pretty funny. I wanted to see more of it as I went along and I completed the main story stuff and the side missions. It was pretty fun while it lasted. But it can be a bit frustrating sometimes. Oh, and I had that game breaking save bug where the game doesn't save. I followed the guides that talked about the problems this game has with the Steam Cloud. I was able to solve the problem.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 20: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Recomendo 100% 😁🎮
Very fun, Very funny, Very funeral.
the best game that was wrongfully abadoned.
I love this game so much, one of my favorite games ever, got it on sale for $5 and it was probably the best $5 I've ever spent. The perfect game to get high asf and play while listening to its banger soundtrack. If only it had skippable cutscenes and mod support it would actually be perfect.
