Super simple but I like it. It's basically a shopping simulator where you have to avoid muggers in a vaporwave inspired world. I see a lot of potential for future updates even If I feel like a lot of the DLC content should be included with the game for free.
The premise is simple and concise, yet in a market full of games that follow checklists to stuff as many time wasting mechanics as possible, it is refreshing. In a world where retro collectibles and increasingly regular products are largely restricted to online shopping websites, the retrowave memories of walking through a shopping mall are refreshing. The game could use some polish though. If text upon starting a new game that said "Look down to see your shopping list" was added than that would make strides in improving the NPE.
Bought this game because I love the aesthetic but I can't really say I recommend it. It'd be a cute little distraction if it were just a simple little arcade game, but the achievements really kill the mood. There's no reason a game that lasts on average, what? 5 mins? Should have achievements like "buy 1000 items", "talk to 500 customers", and "get mugged 50 times". As a frame of reference for anyone curious: each game requires you to buy a handful of items off of a list before leaving the mall, with each item costing around $10-$100 each. You start with $100 and can hit ATMs around the mall to withdraw more, usually anywhere from $20-30 per ATM (and each ATM has a cooldown before you can hit it again, with usually 4-5 ATM spawns per map). Even if you stick around after purchasing everything off your list to buy everything in the mall (which would also take FOREVER BTW), I'd estimate you'd have to do that for at least 10 games or so before you'd get the "buy 1000 items" achievement. That very quickly turns into nothing but a chore. Even worse, I bought all the items off my list and left and got the achievement for FAILING to escape the mall? All I can assume is it's either broken or there's some secret ending that I don't care enough about to unlock. Also this game is more fairly priced at $1 than $3 considering its content. It's not a BAD game, it would just be better if it was treated like the casual little 5 min arcade game it is and didn't have the stupid achievements.
PEOPLE TRY TO TOUCHES ME AND TAKE ME TO THE RESTROOM LIKE DREAM DO
This game is a shout-out to an era at least a good portion of current gamers can feel nostalgic to in one way or another. It has a nice soundtrack and comes with a chill experience. You can interact with the people around you and get some nice comments and quotes, which I personally find pretty nice to do. If you sometimes want to pass the time with a game that requires less of your brain (but not feeling entirely brain dead) while you also have an awesome and chill experience, this game is 100% something for you.
Let me warn you though, sometimes it does get slightly nerve-wrecking with the damn multiplying muggers around.
Definitely a very fun mall simulator type game, despite the current minor lag in game with the larger mall
i might be a little biased because i know the dev but i do think this game is fun and cute <3
Seems unfinished, there is not much gameplay and some achievements are bugged.
it's boring and empty.
Short, sweet, and nostalgic. Easily one of the best mall centric games I’ve played. Good 80’s 90’s vibes. The Good (+) Atmosphere - good vibes all around, even when/if muggers are running around. (+) Five difficulties, and all achievements can be obtained in easy/medium (+) Tutorial tells you all you need to know (+) Lots to explore (+) A good, soft hearted challenge (+) Game is as presented in a trailer The Meh (/) Wish there were more than just a few tracks on the soundtrack (/) Wish there was a fountain/bench interaction The Bad (-) Wasn’t sure what some items do in game – food court mostly Overall, great game and one of my favorite finds from the Winter 2025 sale.
